After a quick test ride to make sure your comfortable riding the bike, we ride to Devils Dyke a 100m deep V-shaped valley which is the largest in UK. We'll descend to the historic town of Poynings, looking up at 700-ft.-high hilltop known as the Dyke Hill. Have a short break at Royal Oak village Pub. Then contiue through the next village called Fulking, checkout the spring at the end of the village street which, it is reported, has never run dry! The Shepherd & Dog pub is a great place for a coffee or refreshment while looking over the spring. We will climb back up the 700ft hill stopping to check the anceint Flint oven, continuing along the ridge of the South Downs Way with scenic seaviews and view of the North Downs. On the way we stop to see the remains of the Isolation Hosiptial use for small pox.

The ride will finish back at Devils Dyke Car Park, perfect for a photo. Then we will drive back down to Brighton The ride will be approximately 20 to 25 kilometers. However I will accommodate the ride accordingly to your level of riding ability.
The start time of the ride can also be changed where possible to accommodate your needs.
Other things to note
The ride will be tracked by GPS using Strava, so you can view the details on your smartphone—distance, elevation, speed, and more. This experience can be 100% customized to your needs.

absolutely fantastic experience. The weather wasn't great but we made the best of it, despite being drenched by the end we were smiling ear to ear.

A great trip. Colin was able to tailor the experience with only myself and my husband on the trip. He was really encouraging and put me at ease very quickly, but also able to keep my husband happy even though my husband is much more capable on a mountain bike than I am. Even though we thought we knew the area well, Colin showed us lots we'd not noticed before. Great trip out - still planning the next one.

Rain and fog couldn’t put a dampener on the beauty of the South Downs. It was a fantastic experience, and Olivier was a brilliant guide.

Colin is a busy expert from bikes. He is very relaxed person. His friend Olivier was there to help us too. He was very caring and helpful. I lost my mobile phone during the day (luckily it was found later on) by I'd advise everyone to keep their phones only in zipped pockets and rucksacks. The ride was amazing, we got a lift by Colin's car to the starting point so remember to have a face mask on you even though it seems to be only outdoor experience. We were offered water bottles. The views were stunning, so peaceful and tranquil nature area with few walkers and cyclists on our way. There are few gates on the way and we met grazing cattle by one of them. They are free of charge local grass mowers to make bike rides easier :) I would wholeheartedly recommend the ride to everyone, it's a great way to see Devil's Dyke and you can see so much more in a shorter time than riding the standard bike.
