Au programme
Your “Learn to Ski (better) with a Vermonter” experience will take place at Brattleboro Ski Hill at Living Memorial Park in Brattleboro, VT. (https://www.brattski.org/about_us)
If you have never skied before, great! Our goal is to get you on the hill and skiing with connected turns and control over how fast or slow you want to go.
If you already ski but feel a little stuck, our goal is to get you carving beautiful, dynamic turns like never before.
Lessons can be individual or if you have a group with similar skill levels, I can teach up to 5 in a private group. I teach ages 7 to 87. Cost does not including rentals or lift.
Most beginner lessons will start by walking on flat land in skis and boots and then learning to walk up a small hill sideways, turn and ski down in a balanced and natural stance.
As confidence grows, we will move to T-bar and work on balance, pressure and edging ski skills. Our goal for the beginner lesson is to be able to ride the T-bar and ski down a green trail making multiple turns to control speed and direction and avoid other skiers.

Hi. My name is Will Shakespeare and I have been skiing in Vermont since I was 5 years old, skiing at Cochran's Hill, Stowe, Smugglers Notch, Sugarbush and raced on my school ski team. I‘ve taught skiing to hundreds of people, young and old, with great joy and success.
I have been a certified Level 2 Professional Ski Instructor of America (PSIA) and taught skiing at Mount Snow for over ten years.
I enjoy sharing my love of skiing by helping others feel comfortable, safe and in control when they ski.
I teach skiing skills in simple progressive steps that lead to rapid progress and advancement in skill levels.
My goal is to help my guests have a wonderful time outdoors in the winter, and to help them fall in love with the joy of skiing.
I also run Shakespeare’s Folly Side Farm AirBnB in Marlboro, VT, 25 minutes from Mt Snow

I am not sure where to even begin to describe how amazing Will has made my family's first skiing experience... My husband two sons and my self met with Will at a great location to begin our first ever ski lesson. We were very nervous and did not have many expectations for our first lesson. Will did not only exceed our expectations, he made us fall in love with skiing! He extremely sweet, patient and informative. Will's passion for skiing most certainly shines through his lessons. We felt so comfortable, learned so much and had so much fun. We are definitely looking forward to our next lesson with Will!

Will's lesson was not only fun but brought my son's skiing ability to a whole new level. This was our first time at Mount Snow, and it made a huge difference to be shown around the mountain, and its various trails and lifts. My son gained a level of comfort and confidence that allowed him to enjoy the rest of our vacation and improve even further. Will was responsive, flexible and easy to coordinate with. A great experience - highly recommend!

Will is a great person to begin with: he has genuine sense of humor, is kind but firm in his expectations. He sees the best in us without loosing sight of working on improving your skills. He is also vry flexible to adapt to your personality andyour needs in his teaching. He skiied with my son for 8 days and I knew my son was as safe as possible at any moment. Acording to my son " Mr Will is a lot of fun!".

Loved the 1 to 1 experience with Will! He had many decades of teaching and it shows. Very thorough and great communicator. I've only been on ski slopes 4 or 5 times total but he was very patient and we went down blues and greens! Really focused on the individual and honing the basics (and a few pro tips) which was exactly what I wanted and needed. I applied his recommendations for the rest of the trip and it was very successful skiing trip.
