Au programme

Regular holding is closed in August. Please feel free to ask me about days of classes. It’s a combination activity of Wagashi (Japanese confectionary) Making and Sado (Tea ceremony) experience. *I have a same kind of activity “Colorful Wagashi Making”, too https://abnb.me/EVmg/O0drZUKb8I Let's make Japanese sweets in my kitchen. I first show you the instruction video and you will try making traditional Japanese sweet; “Jouyo Manju - a bun with a bean jam filling”. The ingredients of the ban are Japanese Yam potato and rice flour. You will also put decorations to make cute Wagashi! You will make 5 Manju. When we are done, let's go to Chashitsu (tea room) which I renovated by myself. There we can relax and have some tea and your sweets together. Through this experience I would like you to find something unique from Japanese sweets. *Please feel free to ask me about days other than the calendar!

I'm a founder of the Wagashi salon, Yu-Art Kichijoji. I graduated from Musashino Art University, I’d been working as for a Japanese maker as an industrial designer. Throughout my life, I’ve focused on traditional Japanese art and culture. I've enjoyed collecting Ukiyo-e (Japanese antique arts) and studying traditional tea style. As tea has always been my passion, I started a career in Chao—the Way of Tea—. I offer 2 classes,” Colorful Wagashi”: https://abnb.me/EVmg/O0drZUKb8I and “Rice flour Manju”: https://abnb.me/EVmg/N4oVWcy67I I’m happy to give you a short tea ceremony, too.

Là où vous les emmènerez

"Yu-Art Kichijoji" Kichijoji is a desired place to live in Tokyo, it’s not as big as Shibuya, but there are many restaurants, cafes, shopping places and a park. Yu-Art Kichijoji is located near Kichijoji station, in a quiet residential area. It’s nice to look around in this town after or before the activity.
