Au programme

At first glance, Downtown Tulsa seems lifeless and empty, but with a local you’ll know where to find the action. I’ll tell you about our latest and greatest places as well as the history of a city that was world famous 100 years ago.

We’ll meet at our new tour office. It’s inside an Art Deco building from Tulsa’s Oil Capital heyday. It's next to Topeca Coffee where you can grab a cup of whatever gets you going. Then we’ll explore the Deco District’s most famous landmarks. These include the Philcade, Philtower, Cosden Building, 320 South Boston, BOK Tower and Union Depot. Then we’ll cross the tracks into the Arts District and Greenwood and loop around to the Blue Dome before heading back to where we started.

Other things to note:
- Tulsa has a mask ordinance. Please wear one so we can tour safely and go inside at least one lobby.
- Most of the tour is outdoors. Please dress accordingly :)

Hi, I’m Jeffrey! I moved to Tulsa after a cross-country Citi Bike ride to LA from NYC, my hometown. I was a licensed NYC tour guide on red double-decker buses. I also led private walking tours for a NYC guide app I developed. I left the Big Apple behind to settle in a friendlier up-and-coming city called Tulsa. I can’t wait to show you around!

I live and work Downtown.

I founded Tulsa Tours to connect you with the past and present of this fabulously underrated city.

As a somewhat recent transplant, Jeffrey has dived head first into the rich Tulsa history. On his tour, we were transported through time from Tulsa’s dirt road past, through its oil titan years, turbulent racial history, and to contemporary Tulsa all through the lens of its rich Art Deco architecture. When not regaled by stories of Oil Barons, Jeffrey provided us awesome food and entertainment recommendations. If you are fortunate enough to visit Tulsa, the only thing you need to know is this tour. Jeffrey can provide the rest.

Jeffrey's tour was wonderful. He is an impressive guide, pacing our tour so that we could connect the historical with current. It is clear that he appreciates Tulsa and makes his tour participants feel that appreciation too.

My family and I enjoyed Jeffrey's unique perspective as a relative newcomer to Tulsa who has immersed himself in the area's history, architecture, and stories of the people who left their mark. His presentation is highly professional, up there with the best personal tours we've taken in other locales, which means it never felt like a lecture, but rather like a friendly conversation in which we happened to learn tons. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

Tulsa has beautiful buildings. Jeffrey helped us understand why and how that happened. Spending time walking in and around the city is a great way to understand the history and the future of this friendly city.
