Au programme

There are a lot of a beautiful old fishing villages dotted along the coast and within driving distance from Essaouira. These also offer secluded beaches which are great for surfing and the perfect place to spend a relaxing day.

This is a full day trip so I will pick you up in the morning and we will head to wherever the conditions look best that day. We will start with a 2 hour lesson which includes ocean awareness and safety, warm-up exercises and beach drills to practice your technique. No worries if you are a complete beginner, we will start with the basics and it won't be long before you are out in the water and trying to catch waves.

We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach and some tasty Moroccan treats. Then in the afternoon you will have some free time to get back out there and practice what you have learned that morning. Don't worry, I will still be on hand to offer guidance and make sure you are safe in the water.

Hi, we are Soufiane & Youssef - the Surfari Essaouira team! Born in Essaouira, this is where we learned to surf from a young age so we know all the best spots! We’ve also been teaching surfing now for 8 years. We’re very passionate about the sport and love meeting new people and helping them experience that thrill of getting out in the water and catching some waves.

We offer surf lessons and trips in Essaouira and the surrounding regions. These are designed to suit all needs, so whether you’re a complete beginner or a more advanced surfer we would love to help you progress. We are both certified instructors (International Surfing Association) and are qualified in First Aid and water safety. We speak Arabic, English & French.

There are lots of great and secluded surfing spots close to Essaouira but sometimes you just need a local to help you find them! Based on the wind forecast, swell direction, wave size and tides, I will pick the spot which will offer the best surf conditions that particular day. This is a great way for you to explore the surrounding area and discover some of the beautiful villages and unspoiled beaches along our coastline.
