Visit our 525-acre farm and take a look into the daily workings of a family-owned beef cattle operation. We will begin at the horse barn and I will introduce you to Lucy the cattle dog and the ranch horses. We will then tour the horse training facility and arena.
The work changes daily, therefore each experience is unique! You will have the opportunity to watch the cow dog working with cattle, working them through the facility, cattle sorting, feeding and other farm activities. You may also have the opportunity to run into a farrier, veterinarian, equine chiropractor, or equine dentist for a Q&A.
Dependent on the work of the day, there can be a demonstration of a horse being groomed and tacked with a discussion on safety and the art of stockman-ship.
After the horsemanship demo, take a walk around the farm and pick up eggs from a free range chicken coop. The 4C farm is home to several dozen wild deer which frequently graze within view. Spot them along with a chance to see large flocks of wild turkey, eagles, fox squirrels and take a walk on the bluebird trail. Located throughout the farm, our picnic tables can provide you a break to relax and enjoy the scenic views.
At the end of the experience, guests can visit the 4C gift shop. The gift shop includes: t-shirts, hats, hand-made leather items, knives, cowhides and our speciality lean, grass-finished beef.
