Au programme
Biking the park is the best way to see Central Park! It's a massive 840 acres; it runs 2.5 miles (4 km) long and a half mile across (1 km). There are 58 miles (93 km) of drives and paths! But even at a leisurely pace, we'll get to see about three-quarters of the terrain, and most of the major features of the park. We'll enter in the southeastern corner, see the skating rink, carousel, chess and checkers house, the Dairy, the Bethesda Terrace and fountain, the Jackie Kennedy reservoir, the Great Lawn, the Shakespeare Garden, the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Field (John Lennon memorial) and the Dakota apartment building.
During the ride I'll share historical facts of the 162 year old park, its creation and evolution, funny stories, people important to the park and point out lots TV and movie scenes. And you wanna know about the real estate—"What are they paying to live there?"—I know about that, too. You'll have fun and get a great view and education on New York City's biggest tourist attraction—over 40 million served each year!
Other things to note
Great tour for novice bikers. No vehicle traffic in the park, and a leisurely pace that covers 6 miles in 2 hours. Elders, families and kids are welcome, please let me know ahead if you need a child's bike, tag along or a child's seat.

I’ve lived in NYC over 25-years and am a licensed Gold Star NYC tour guide and member of Guides Association of New York City (GANYC). I've guided hundreds of tours around New York City and, my goal is to entertain and inform with mixture of history, sociology, fun local color and, of course, references to all the sets of your favorite Hollywood TV and movie scene. I also know the best spot to get pictures that will wow your Instagram followers. ❤️❤️❤️ Click on my profile to see reviews of my other tours (all 5 ⭐, so far!). I've been described as "patient," "organized," "very fun" and "a terrific guide."
