Hi, I am Yasu and I live in Japan! My passion for this class is cooking tasty Japanese foods and sharing special memories with you.
I grew up in an old temple town. While growing up, I learned cooking from my grandmother, mother, and my aunties. we spent lots of time cooking together and there was a lot of laughter.
The unforgetabble memories in our kitchen strongly stay in my heart and helps me to keep moving forward with my life.
I would love to share Japanese dishes that are wonderful and tasty; just like my family cooked.
Besides this class, my vocation is teaching International Nursing, Medical English, and I also facilitate life mapping for people so they can achieve their goals!

Yasuyo was a wonderful host. From the moment I reached out to her about a month prior to the event, she was gracious and quick to respond. She was excited to help me plan my event. The event itself was fun and went according to plan. She was an excellent instructor and mad everyone feel welcome. 10/10 would book with her again.

We turned to Yasu-san for a team building event and had the best time! She was so thoughtful in ensuring each member of our group was tracking with our obento preparation and did a phenomenal job setting the scene with bits of history and notes on Japanese family life. Her kitchen and home are beautiful and she was kind enough to give us a mini tour of her garden and cherry blossom tree (which was just starting to bloom). Would highly recommend this experience for work groups, family or friend groups or anyone looking to learn more about Japanese culture through cuisine. The only bad part is that we can't travel to Japan right now to experience even more after Yasu-san gave us such a great lesson!

Really fun and delicious activity. It was amazing to get a walk around her charming home and see the spring blossoms just beginning. Yasu's directions were very clear and her technical presentation via Zoom was perfect. I can't wait to have my family do one soon.
