Au programme

Let’s get dressed up a Kimono/Yukata and hang out in Nakasu! Firstly, I dress you in a Kimono/Yukata and set your hair matching for them. Once you're completely dressed in, we'll hang out around historical spots. You’ll get a sense of our tradition by visiting the Kushida shrine, it’s built in 757 has a deep historical meaning. In there, you can look at some must-sees like the “Kazariyama” (it’s a symbol of “Hakata Gion Yamakasa” that one of the three major festival in here) etc. At there, let’s take a lots of instagrammable photos, too! After that, I guide you to the “Hakata Machiya”. It has shown what our old local’s lifestyle about 150 years ago. Also, it’s a perfect place for takeing photos with Kimono/Yukata, because the building absolutely matches them! At last, we go back to my salon and change into your clothes. That’s all and I hope you’ll enjoy my activity. Thanks!! *If you’d like to continue borrowing the Kimono/Yukata after the tour has done, it’s possible. Also, only renting them is possible. Let me know before you book, please. *I can adjust the time the tour started, so let me know if you’d like to change it (However, it depends on my schedule).

Mika

Hello, everyone! I’m Mika. I’ve been to many countries and lived in abroad. Traveling, and meeting new cultures is my best hobby! While I’ve in abroad, one of the things locals always asked me was about the Japanese culture, especially Kimono. Unfortunately, then I couldn’t answer it enough, because I didn’t know it well. It made me feel regret. Actually, most of Japanese don’t know how to wear the Kimono nowadays, and I was one of them. That’s why, I started to dive more in the Kimono culture, after got back to Japan. Deeply felt I wanna develop myself. Finally, I could be a host since February 2018. Throughout the time, I’ve been able to meet lots of guests, and they made my confidence. I’m sure I could share all of you, not only the Kimono culture, but also the interesting local cultures and Japanese heart! Thanks!!
