Au programme

We'll meet on shore for a brief intro to the boards, a paddle how-to, and safety points. We'll paddle out, drop anchor (to stay together) and practice some yoga! We always start slow and stable, then and add in options for more challenge throughout the practice. We'll end with a floating savasana (final rest pose), and a paddle back to shore. About 90 minutes total.
Other things to note
You may want to bring a towel with you, or even a change of clothes. Your instructor will have a dry bag that you may put your phone or keys in.

I've spent a lifetime in and around the water and love sharing it's beauty with others. I've been teaching yoga on the water since 2013 and it's still just the best thing ever - my favorite thing to do!

Destinations

Greenlake is a partly man-made lake - the water level was lowered in 1911 to make more land available. It's now a hub for fit Seattleites with a much loved path, beautiful grassy lawns, ball fields, boathouses, and of course the lake itself. The surrounding area is full of casual cafes, and restaurants. It's as easy to find a family friendly lunch spot as it is to find a patio to grab drinks with friends.

Had done yoga and paddleboarding before this, but never the two activities together. What a neat experience! The class was personalized to my level as I was lucky enough to be the only participant that day. Jill did a great job of walking me through everything from a refresher on navigating the board to attempting a few arm balances. We even did enough sun salutations to invite the shy Seattle sun out by the end of class ;) Great weather & good vibes all around, 5/5 would recommend.

I am so grateful for such a wonderful experience. It has brought peace to my mind and mended my body. I have done yoga before, but it was my first time paddle boarding. Jill was patient and reassuring. I can't wait to be back again.

We had a great time with Jill, she was very patient since we had no experience with paddle board !! Yoga and paddle board together is not easy but the experience is amazing, you have relaxing atmosphere with the lake plus a patient and caring instructor. I’m planning to take another class with Jill soon.

Awesome experience! My first time on the west coast and she was very welcoming and even shred ideas and places fro me to visit. Knowledgable about paddle boarding and yoga! One of the highlights of my trip.

    Quoi apporter

    Wear clothes that can get wet. Most folks wear yoga clothes. Swin suits are fine, just be sure you're comfortable doing yoga in it (think Downward Facing Dog)

    Leave bags, purses elsewhere if possible. There are lockers available in the community center on a first come, first served basis.
