I've been a professional guide here in Bavaria since 2008 and have an M.A. in History. I am a native English speaker and am happy to try and answer any questions about German history from medieval to modern times.

Nuremberg has over 1,000 years of stories and is a unique and fascinating mix of the medieval and modern. The city is big enough to have world-class museums and sites without being overwhelming.

The tour was very interesting and Jason had a wide knowledge about the city and different topics, so it was a great experience!

Jason gave us a good overview of Nuremberg, it’s history, it’s architecture, it’s unique Wursts, and we had a wonderful time and were sorry when the tour ended. We met a lot of nice people on the tour and even exchanged contacts. It’s a great way to enjoy an afternoon in Nuremberg.

I had a lot of fun on this walking tour, and Jason did a great job being a very informative and helpful guide. This is the first Airbnb experience I’ve done, but not my first walking tour in general. I will review this experience based on three factors: Sites, Comfort, and the Guide. Sites: You start off at the Nuremberg Train Station and meet with Jason and everyone else. Once everyone is there you’re taken to the old sandstone city walls and a reconstruction of the old Handworker’s Village. You’ll see various parts of the city such as the Imperial Castle, Nuremberg Market, and old buildings. There is time provided for a quick lunch at the market. After this, you take a public bus (ticket paid for by the host) to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and the Kongresshalle. After a total of roughly 4 hours, you’re taken back to the train station via bus. I was pleased by how much I got to saw and feel like the time provided was sufficient. Comfort: The weather was nice and it only rained a little at the Nuremberg Market, so it’s recommended you bring an umbrella if there is a chance of rain that day. If you’re not used to walking be sure to bring comfortable shoes and clothing. The trip itself is worth roughly 15,000 steps. Luckily you take a bus to the Rally Grounds, otherwise, it would be much more. Guide: Jason is a fantastic guide. He knew a lot about Nuremberg’s history, which is exactly the point of the tour. He didn’t get off topic much and was always courteous. He also speaks perfect English at a loud enough volume when giving the tour. Miscellaneous: Overall the walking tour is a great value and a good way to experience what Nuremberg has to offer. I highly recommend choosing this experience if you decide to stay in the city.
