➼ Stroll through the market. Food journey begin with smile to local shop owner. Buy local food and taste it there. Comment and complimentary can be made on spot or you may LIKE , THRUMP UP or smile as you please. Some shop owners are very kind and let us take part in of cooking too.

➼ The adventure starts by travelling to market as local people with various kind of local transportation such as truck, ferry and a motorcycle taxi.

➼ 5-8 dishes and drink will be experience during the trip . Example of food, coconut ice cream, hoi tod, meang come, noodle, mar hor, gag fruit juice , grill fish curry, grill calamari wrap in banana leave and dip in spicy source, and Thai dessert such as sangkaya.
Other things to note
Don’t overeat before attending this experience. Please dress appropriately, especially during the summer and monsoon season (March to August). The weather can be extremely hot and sticky.

I have been related to food since I was young. My mom always makes yummy food for our family and neighbors. Her food is high standard in taste and quality which make me well-pick foodies. Later, I have a degree in food technology industry. I have involved with finding quality ingredient and good raw material after all.

My friends family live in Bangnamphoung. In 2014, she introduced this market and show me many home-cook style meals which similar to mom cook which is so delicious.

I would like to show another culture of Thai people. We are a snacking society. We eat all the time and eat a little bit of everything. This trip will be introduction of Thai food and a few of food challenges, if you don’t dare.

Destinations

We will be in Bangkrachao or Bangnamphoung, known as Bangkok jungle and Bangkok Oasis, which creates oxygen for the city. Wooden houses in Thai style are the common local residence in this community. On weekends, Bangnamphoung villagers bring their products to sell in the market.

We love food and wanted to try more street food which we alone wouldn't dare due to the language barrier. We got to taste so many amazing things, totally worth it!

Great experience for sure!! I felt welcomed and ate a lot of food. Everything was delicious. It was wonderful to see the locals shopping at the market and enjoying their time with family and friends. I highly recommend, keep an open mind and an open heart, tall to everyone in your group and try the food. It made the experience so much more with that in mind.

Buay’s Food Walk tour is very well planned and designed. The market location is one you won’t easily get to yourself, the motobike ride to there is great fun, and all the hustle and bustle in the food market is a truly great experience to be part of. Top that with Buay’s food knowledge and you get a 5*****-star tour!

I tried more than ten types of snacks and a delicious butterfly pea lime drink. From tapioca pancake to lemongrass pork grill, a litte spicy steam curry to seasonal small pink tamarind, tiny mussels egg cup to munk bean fillings mochi dumplings, sweet puffs with soring onions to Thai hot and spicy seasonings and more. We had noodles lunch at sit-on-floor Thai street food court. Eating and talking about food non-stop! The tour is designed for real food lovers and south east Asian cooking learners. The tour guide was Eng, sister of Buay, who has passion in the local community. she explained details of each snacks and story of local history. We were a small group and enjoyed tasting all Thai food.

This was an amazing experience. We loved the fact that we took a motorcycle, a ferry, a bike to arrive at the market. We ate wayyy to much and we discovered a lot of very authentic Thai dishes. Some of them didn't really suit our taste but that's just personal. You'll have a great time and the host, Buay, is very friendly.
