Au programme

* You will get to see a part of Howth, many others don't know about, away from the usual tourist sights.
* You will learn how really to slow down and savour every moment of your holiday, or your day off.
* I will teach you how to tune into each of your senses which will help you appreciate all the beauty and life that surrounds us. You can explore the forest with a child like sense of adventure see the beauty of the forest. The gardens are also host to plants such as ferns and wild garlic, clovers, mosses , mushrooms and many other tropical and native plants.
* I will guide you inward to connect within and to awaken your senses to nature. I will then guide you on our Silent Walking Meditation.
*As we walk we will focus and call on the energy of what we are ready to let go of and release, allowing the land and our ancestors to heal us.
*You will get to see Howth Castle where the famous Irish Chieftain , Gráinne Mhaol once visited and Aideen's Grave which is an ancient Portal Dolmen ( portal dolmens are known to date from the Neolithic period, from c4000BC to c2500BC)
* We will share, release, replenish and recharge. Listen to the wisdom of the trees and harness the energy of the forest, and admire the best secret viewing point in Dublin.
* A gentle/slow incline to the top to enjoy snacks, chats and a breathtaking view.

Originally from Co. Kilkenny, I have been living in this area for the past 13 years and spend alot of my time hiking around these hills, I could walk this area blindfolded, it is such a special place for me.
Since 2016, I have been working as a Yoga & Meditation Teacher, since studying in Rishikesh, India. Yoga to me is more than a physical practice, but rather a lifestyle. I am particularly passionate about nature and enjoy guiding groups on mindful walking experiences, allowing us to connect with the sacred land around us here in Ireland.
With energy healing an important part of my life, I have also trained as a Reiki Master which adds a special element to my work with Yoga, Meditation and Nature.

Destinations

Howth is famous for the cliff walk.
While this trail is a worth while activity, it can be extremely busy with tourists and local hiking groups. Where I plan to bring you is a less well know trail where you will be immersed in the hidden treasures of native and tropical plants unique to this area, as well as enjoying views of the Irish sea and Dublin City.

This experience was truly one-of-a-kind! Katie is kind, caring, warm and a great conversationalist. I found her meditation and mindful nature walk such a unique and effective way to center myself and connect with my surroundings. The area of Howth we explored was one I definitely wouldn’t have found on my own, and ended with a beautiful hilltop view of the town below as well as the sea and Ireland’s Eye beyond. Highly recommend this experience for the inward-turning traveler!

Really enjoyed the morning hike and meditation with Katie. She was really knowledgable and friendly and the views from the top are stunning. Would recommend this experience to anyone looking to escape the hectic daily life or just if you would like to experience a nature walk amongst amazing plantlife. Great experience.

This is an awesome experience if you want to get away from the busy city life and tourist traps. Katie took us on a lesser known hiking path that was quite nice, where she guided us through meditation and mindfulness. The views are beautiful once we got to the top. I would absolutely do this again when I’m in Dublin the next time.
