Guests will: -choose a 4-course dinner menu from a list of seasonal favorites; -harvest fresh ingredients from our garden and fruit trees; -prepare a delicious meal in our custom 1911 craftsman kitchen; -break bread together in the garden, under the cedar, or indoors. The Columbia River Gorge is a stunning landscape of fresh water rivers, dramatic mountains, and dense forest lending wild beauty at every turn. It is also a sustainable food mecca that, unless you're a local, you likely won't recognize. Tucked out of view from visitors, small-family organic farms and orchards produce premium meats, eggs, dairy, honey, cheese, vegetables, and fruit. And from the Columbia River, Native American tribes delight with line-caught salmon. In this hands-on cooking class you might harvest heirloom tomatoes for a caprese salad, cull herbs for a salad dressing, or pluck Italian plums from their leafy branches for a rustic galette. You'll prepare and enjoy a delicious 4-course meal, including artisan bread. Truly, there ain't no love grander than a loaf of fresh baked bread! Absolutely no experience is necessary; honest! We work alongside you and provide easy instruction and lots of laughs.

The organic family-farm community here in the breath-taking Columbia River Gorge is rich: in history, in knowledge, in integrity.
