Greystones to Bray, Coastal walk – Approx 9Km – 2 -3 hours

About The Walk:
Greystones to Bray Cliff Walk – Peers, Pirates and Plants!

We locals love this walk so much we decided to share it with you! Simply jump on any Dublin Dart (suburban train) Southbound and get off at Greystones Train station – 50 minutes from the City Centre and the last DART Station. Make sure to sit on the left for the sea view most of the way, keeping an eye out for Dolphins and seals in the Bay.

We are going to bring you on a coastal path, through the small town of Greystones, through fields, over cliffs, along beaches to Bray, finishing in a local favourite, The Harbour Bar, for a pint or a coffee before we get the DART back to Dublin.

The Cliff walk is an easy route, on level and well maintained paths, with fine views over the Irish Sea and the rocky sea cliffs as we near Bray Head. The route is about 9 km and takes about 2.5 hours plus stops along the way.
Along the route, we will talk about the local flora and fauna, the wonderfully evocative place names like Brandy Hole and the local history.
We have true stories of pirates and smuggling, the local English Landlord, Lord Brabazon, why there are two sets of railway tunnels and much, much more.

Our last stop of the day, The Harbour Bar. A former Lonely Planet ‘Pub of the Year’, you’ve got to see this bar to believe it.
Other things to note
Wear good walking shoes or boots.
Trainers are fine as it's a good track.
Bring some rain gear or umbrella just in case.
