A great introduction to hand printing letterpress using an antique collection of wood type. Guests will be able to compose individual letters and print using a A3 size proofing press with a hand ink roller to creating posters / cards. Starting at 11am over tea and coffee we first talk and plan your texts - then compose your first idea for type and begin the initial printing. Looking at layout and composition as well as considering aesthetics and conceptual elements we will have time to reflect and improve before deciding upon a final edition or editions. Vegetarian lunch is provided. Finishing around 5pm.
