Au programme
From the grand cast-iron maidens in SoHo to the tenements of the Lower East Side, from the bustling streets of Chinatown to the delicious tasty treats found in Little Italy, we’ll dive into the histories and personalities that make these some of the most important neighborhoods in the world. Along the way we will see murals created for LISA Project NYC by internationally-famous street artists and learn about the process and stories behind each piece. Who knows, we might get lucky and catch an artist at work!
NYC has always been the world’s creative epicenter. We love exploring with travelers, and we invite LOCALS to be a tourist in your own city and see the artistic spirit of Lower Manhattan.
By booking your tour, you’re also giving back by supporting LISA Project NYC – a city-based, public art charity creating beautiful murals and raising awareness for local issues via this artistic medium.
Afterwards, stop in to one of the lovely small businesses or grab a delicious lunch when the tour ends in Little Italy. You won’t be disappointed, and you can take pride investing back in the community.
Everyone loves this tour! Kids, dates, dogs, students, your Pandemic Pod… we’ll make sure you have a great time. Mask up, bring your friends, have some high-quality, socially-distanced fun!
Rain and cold weather won't stop us! So check the forecast and dress comfortably

I am an award winning, life-long photographer (received my first camera at age 4) and a huge history nerd. I moved back to NYC in 1995 and have been exploring the streets since. 10 years ago I began to notice more and more art making its way into my photos and I started to get to know and make friends with many of the artists who work on the streets of NYC. Favorite hobby? Watching paint dry.
À propos de l'organisme : L.I.S.A. Project, NYC

The district now extends into SoHo, Lower Eastside, East Village, Chinatown and Chelsea. Encouraging locals and tourists alike to visit all of Lower Manhattan.
Destinations
From Mulberry Street to Lafayette Street and beyond, we will be in SoHo, the Lower East Side, Little Italy and Chinatown in Lower Manhattan.

Had a fantastic time during this experience. It’s entirely outdoors and covid friendly/cautious. Great way to get out and explore a part of the city without much worry. I was the only one on this tour but didn’t mind because Audrey is personable and a great story teller truly passionate about all art, especially street art. The tour is well structured, the walk is at an easy pace, and all of the art is amazing. You’ll spot things you would have missed entirely without this tour and learn about many of the artists and the messages behind their art that you can’t find on google. Highly recommended for solo travelers, groups, and couples. Thank you Audrey, I have a new appreciation for graffiti/street art now :)

If you want a first-hand experience with immersive storytelling on the streets of Lower East Side, check out this tour! Audrey was a fantastic guide who had many intimate details about the street art, history, and personal relationships behind it. More of a bonus that this fully supports a local nonprofit.

We enjoyed this tour very much. Aurdrey is an expert and really into the graffiti and street art scene! She highlights the projects that are publicly showcased as well as provides detailed background in the artists stories and motivations. Afterwards its very nice to recognize the tags, styles ans stickers of the artist that you come across in NCY. Its only graffiti before, but now its a a real artist story and you understand where they are coming from. Highly recommended as it opens your eyes a lot.
