Le logement
Because of the daily changes involving our knowledge of COVID-19 we are dealing with requests to stay with us on a 1-to-1 basis and have temporarily turned off instant booking. We have increased our minimum stay to 14 days, ask that you hunker down on the ranch as a stay-in-place site, that there be no touchpoints between you and us and added other health and safety precautions. We will provide our full protocol for everyone who inquires.
Stay safe everyone! Flatten the curve. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

When was the last time your kids (or you!) played outside, by themselves? At High Hope, everyone can play outside, fish, look for fossils, star gaze, perhaps even see the Milky Way! Birds, frogs, and goats are the background noise instead of traffic! Habari guest house and all of High Hope Ranch uplift with the perfect getaway from your everyday, and re-connect with nature and your friends and family. Habari has games for everyone, the front porch view is "Grandmother Oak" and Habari pond with catfish for catch and release fishing.

Our delightful ranch style 5 bedroom 2 bath house is located just south of Glen Rose, TX, next to Fossil Rim. We are the northwestern edge of the Hill Country, but just 80 miles from Dallas.

Habari has beds for 10 in our five bedrooms, and additional guests sleeping on our 5 futons (3 singles, 1 double and one queen) or couch, may be added for an additional fee. The house is situated on a working ranch among rolling hills and spectacular views. Your 'back yard' is over 800 acres. Chances are, you won't run into the guests in our other two guest houses, or the folks who live and work on the ranch!

The ranch is a relaxing location to unwind from day to day demands, stressors and distractions. The breathtaking views and tranquil setting will have you soon forgetting how close you are to the frantic city sounds, lights, traffic and activities.

Please let us know if you would like to bring your dogs, as they are welcome! We do ask for $50 per dog per stay if they are uncrated, and $25 per dog per stay if they are crated. We will need to adjust your quote or request additional payments through AirBnB for your pets, or you can pay us when you arrive.

The spacious house has 3 living rooms, a brick fireplace, nicely equipped kitchen (including coffee, tea, spices), washer/dryer, covered porch in front and a patio in back, gas grill, and stunning views. Free wi-fi is available throughout the house. There are no TV's to distract from the relaxing atmosphere of the ranch.

The 5 bedrooms consist of 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, and 2 twin beds.

Amenities that may be added are in-house massage, nature walks with a naturalist, catering, provisioning or in-home cooking services, small ceremonies, and guided tours. Advanced notice and additional fees apply. Groups who have stayed with us before are men and women retreats, business or organizational gatherings, workshops. and family gatherings.

Looking for something smaller? Please see our other listings for Kasa Casa, our spa house with 2 queen bedrooms, 1.5 baths, with a built in soaking tub, infrared spa and outdoor showers OR Mata'Zamo our remote, cliffside house with a loft (queen bed and day/trundle bed in the upstairs loft and 2 sets of bunkbeds in the downstairs bedroom, 1.5 bedrooms.

The ranch is managed holistically and organically as a ranchland sanctuary. We have about 25 miles of hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty, a labyrinth, stone circle, and art benches through out our rugged terrain and prairie pastures.

Accès des voyageurs
We are a vacation rental, so you will have the entire house to yourself! We want to create the feeling of going 'back home' to the family ranch, except it's bring your own family!!!

We'll give you a map of the trails, and leave you to wander in wonder on your own!

There is plenty of room to park! We recommend parking in the 'back' so your view from the front porch is 'pure nature' .

Autres points à prendre en note
We provide a safe, non-toxic environment inside and outside the house.
We have goats (which you can help feed), their guard donkey Zoe and momma cows that rotate through different pastures!

Our motto is Healthy Land, Healthy People, we manage for ALL of Texas wildlife. We keep the yard and trails mowed so you can be on the lookout for snakes (including some venomous ones), fire ants and other things you might not want to have a direct enounter with!

Walnut Springs , Texas, États-Unis

We love our ranch, our 20 years of holistic management and reverence for the land and the life it supports is palpable. Many guests bring all of their food and spend their entire stay relaxing and exploring High Hope.

We are 12 minutes from Walnut Springs, our closest source of gas, lumberyard and Thurs.-Sat. bar and grill dining.
We are 15 minutes from Glen Rose, this is where we grocery shop when we can't get into the city for organic products, and visit the Historic Square for all the treats and shopping.
We are about 30 minutes from Granbury, home of big box shopping, better grocery stores and cheaper gas!

We are also happy to recommend places to go to get the local feel of our 'not quite Mayberry' surroundings. Glen Rose is a great family destination, we're glad you are considering visiting! We keep two guest notebooks in the house, one with information about your house and the ranch, the other with local information including restaurants (most of our restaurants are family owned, Sonic, Chicken Express, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, Subway, Mr. Jim's are our chain restaurants), attractions and information on what it is like to live in Glen Rose.

I feel lucky every day when I wake up surrounded by live oaks and rolling hills on the northwestern edge of the Texas Hill Country. I am here to help manage my friend's three unique guest houses on this lovely 1,125 acre ranch. Chances are I will be the one to meet and greet you, lead you to your house, orient you, answer any questions and then leave you to your adventure. We are here for you, but only when you need or want us! Our ranch's motto is Healthy Land, Healthy Animals, Healthy and Happy People! High Hope Ranch not only borders Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, we share a connected history. Krystyna, the ranch owner, moved to Texas to help run, and then buying Fossil Rim Wildlife Center which began as a private entity. She built the programs that have made Fossil Rim an internationally respected conservation facility, and a 'must-see' for all area visitors. While doing this, she also purchased any land that came up for sale bordering Fossil Rim to create a buffer zone. When Fossil Rim was ready to operate on its own as a non-profit organization, she donated the 1,800 acres that Fossil Rim occupied, and kept the buffer zone, the 900 acres that house our three guest houses and we call High Hope Ranch.

Durant votre séjour
Before Covid-19, we would greet you when you arrive, show you around the house, have you sign our release form, do a safety pledge with kids under 11, and safety contract for kids 11 - 15 or so.

Now, I have a house 'manifesto' to send before you arrive, but will be available by phone, text and email before, during and after your stay!

There is always someone on property if you have any questions, but unless there is some emergency, or upcoming weather event (like a freeze warning!), we honor your privacy! Nature nerd alert, I have been known to let you know when a comet is visible or some other awesome natural event is happening!
