"Eden on the Chocolata". Inspired by nature our two boutique cabanas are elegantly designed for your total comfort and relaxation. Each of the 40 meter square cabins (known locally as palapas) are made from eucalyptus wood and have high pitched palm roofs providing wonderful natural ventilation that capture the famous San Juan off shore breezes. Ceiling and floor standing fans provide extra ventilation in a natural and healthy way keeping you cool. The palapas do not have air conditioning.
Super comfortable king size beds and pillows are complimented with luxurious cotton sheets and are surrounded by romantic netting to keep the bugs out.
In keeping with our connection to nature, conservation and locally sourcing our materials, the spacious en suite bathrooms are tiled with traditional colonial tiles and native stone sinks and are stocked with local organic toiletries. Presently we do not have hot water, but the water here is never cold. Our toilets have an eco-friendly flush.
Your balcony has a traditional Nica style hammock, rocking chairs and cushioning that are handcrafted for good posture and support being a priority – that’s the physiotherapist in Aine coming to the fore!

We live at Eden, it is our home. We dine family style in the dining room daily & interact with our guests or you can eat solo.
We provide 24 hour check in.
We are 10 minute drive from town & 15 minutes drive from the local surf beaches. We are 10 mins walk to Nacascola bay & 25 mins walkk to San Juan town. It is a good idea to have your own transport, we are in the countryside where you can enjoy the peace & quiet & the wonderful sounds of nature, howler monkeys & birds. If you don't have your own transport local taxis are readily available. Also San Juan town has many car, motorcycle and quad bike rental shops.
Because of the wooden structures & palm roofs smoking or candles are not allowed in the cabins. We got smoking area around the garden.
Aine & I are originally Irish and after some world travelling decided to build our own tropical paradise here in San Juan del Sur. We love hosting and have a keen interest in cooking. Irish hospitality in Central America :)
