You'll feel at home immediately in this large and welcoming room. Located on the lower level, it shares the entire downstairs floor with one other guest room, has two lounges, a full bath and a separate fridge, coffee maker and breakfast bar. Swivel mounted TV with roku, complimentary YouTubeTV. Stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Lots of complimentary amenities: Toiletries, snacks, cereal and fruit, and a full kitchen to cook in! You will have everything you need here and more!

Le logement
Inspired by our recent trip to the Nordic Region, my girlfriend and I designed this room to reflect our love for travel and to bring a bit of the adventure's spirit back home. Rich, strong accents, pops of color, and crisp clean whites are complimented by original art on the walls. The overhead light is on a dimmer to create just the right mood.
I've provided robes and slippers so you can feel comfortable coming up to the kitchen or using the shared bathroom, while enjoying your vacation or stay.
You wont go hungry here! Naya and I love hosting and are more then happy to share our full kitchen with you. We've labeled the cupboards to help you find anything you need- from pots and pans, to spices and oil, or just a special handmade mug for that morning coffee. While I don't advertise breakfast, I do provide many options to keep you satisfied- bagels and cream-cheese, yogurts in the fridge, fruit, and pastries are often available on the guest bar. Ask about my fresh chicken eggs! If I have extra, I'll gladly share!
Speaking of coffee, there is a Nespresso machine in the kitchen with a milk frothier for making that perfect latte. Milk, and cream are in the fridge on shelves marked "communal" If you are staying longer then a week, I'll designate an entire shelf just for your things. In addition to the full set up in the main kitchen, there is a separate kitchenette in the lounge downstairs with mini fridge- full of waters, bagels and cream for coffee; a microwave, coffee maker, and full set of dishes.

Shared bathroom includes: Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, bathwash, misc toiletries.

Laundry available: $5 load. Iron and Ironing board also available for guest use.
Home is heated to 68 in the winter and air conditioned in the summer.

I am an artist, and my home is filled with personal artworks, as well as fantastic pieces I have collected over the years. I hope you will enjoy the eclectic nature of my home and feel comfortable sharing the many spaces it offers. It is very quiet here, with plenty of spaces to sit and relax- including the entire backyard and patio. I have two dogs and one cat, which are unobtrusive to guests, aside from an initial bark at greeting. If you aren't big dog people, they will leave you alone, if you are- they will gladly take all the pets you have to offer. If you prefer other pets, I have a turtle on the lower level of the house and chickens at the cottage next door! You are more than welcome to visit them all.

Accès des voyageurs
I provide a flexible check-in policy! Please feel free to come whenever works best for you to leave luggage or relax. The room itself will be available after 3pm, and should be vacated by 11am to allow for cleaning, but you are welcome to arrive and use the shared spaces outside of those times.
Guests have access to my entire home and should feel comfortable using the living room, kitchen, downstairs lounge, and outdoor patios and fireplace.
Please consider this your home away from home!

Parking: 5-6 spots available in the back of the house -first come first serve
The Google Maps app provides the best directions to lead you to the alley parking.
Entire the alley from 134th St SW (south) and go past the first house on the corner. You will see parking in front of two white garages. I own both properties, so you may park in any of the available spaces. -I live on the same block as St Vincent DePaul- which is a second hand store. This often attracts people who drop off unwanted items further down the alley- making it a rather unsightly drive out. I apologize in advance for this, but hope you will not hold this against the quality and comfort of my own home. I suggest accessing my home via 134th st SW, and backing out instead of continuing through the alley. You are also welcome to park on 134th St SW, and walk in from the street to my back gate entrance.

Autres points à prendre en note
This is a people friendly home- regardless of your Race, Sexual identity or Religion- you will be welcome here. Please do the same for me and the other guests you meet. My home is a place of trust and acceptance and my wish is that you will embody this vision during your stay.

Emplacement

Seattle, Washington, États-Unis

10mn from the airport, 20mn from downtown by car.
We are rated a great location for quick access to the airport, as well as being in a quiet and safe neighborhood.

Downtown Burien is lovely, and just a mile south of us. If you aren't up for going into the big city, you can enjoy plenty of restaurants, cafes, breweries, bakeries and even a local movie theatre which plays off the cuff productions each week. Burien also hosts a fantastic farmers market every Thursday, May- September.

For food options even closer, there is a highly ranked Thai restaurant across the street that is worth getting. 7-11 one block away, and a breakfast dinner three blocks away.
Fred Meyer Grocery is within walking distance - similar to a Walmart- food, clothes, home basics, hot food bar, and a Starbucks.

For activities:
-Seahurst park is gorgeous and on the waterfront- a good long walk, or 5mn drive, but worth it.
-Highline botanical Gardens is a free Japanese garden- also within walking distance.

-I live on the same block as St Vincent DePaul- which is a second hand store. This often attracts people who drop off unwanted items in the back alley- making it a rather unsightly drive. I apologize in advance for this, but hope you will not hold this against the quality and comfort of my own home. I suggest accessing my home via 134th st SW, and backing out instead of continuing through the alley, which is also hindered by large potholes. You are also welcome to park on 134th St SW, and walk in from the street to my back gate entrance.
-Overall, this is considered a very safe neighborhood, with a great community of neighbors that care about each-other.

I love coffee and consider myself a huge foodie- I embrace all stereotypes of the word! Seattle is home to amazing restaurants- of which I am happy to share my favorites. I cook a lot at home and try to eat as clean as possible--but if you bring me homemade bread I won’t refuse. Currently I'm applying for medical school and working at the local hospital. I also coach CrossFit at Renascent CrossFit here in Burien. When I was a little girl, I fell in love with the "Beef- its whats for dinner!" commercial. Friends were always welcome--there was always enough food, and a place to sleep. You belonged. This is how I live my life today. My guests are my passion. Strangers are always welcome- and there will always be enough food. If you need something you have only to ask. I find that having a 2400 sf home with two levels, gives everyone the space they need. It's not perfect- but it is a home, and it will be your home as long as you stay. My girlfriend, Naya joined me two years ago on this incredible hosting adventure, so you may meet her at times as well. We love to travel together and have brought some of those experiences as inspiration into our room designs. We truly hope you enjoy staying with us! I am accepting of all people and hope you will be too.

I provide an independent environment that is flexible for guests to come and go as they please, and with the privacy that they desire. If you wish to meet me please reach out via a message and let me know so I can make sure I don't miss this opportunity! I love sharing my home, and while I don't always meet every guest, when I do, I happily share all that I can about this beautiful city that I love! If you are more private and like to keep to yourself, I respect that. You shouldn't feel pressure to interact. Just come and go as you please.
