A luxurious teak Javanese-style studio in a beautiful tropical garden with access to a large pool with fantastic views over the Ayung River valley. Just 15 minutes from the centre of Ubud.
A spacious Javanese teak studio set in beautiful gardens with two decks. The property is accessed via a rustic wooden bridge over a pond with lotus blossoms and running water. The house has a large bathroom running the entire width of the building at the back. The main space consists of a comfortable king sized bed (2m x 2m) with a mosquito net, two large fitted wardrobes, a large table which seats 8, large sofa, coffee table and a fitted kitchen with granite worktops and there is still loads of space! The front of the building has three sets of sliding glass doors which open onto a large covered ironwood deck with a couple of loungers. There is also a more private garden space with table and chairs to one side in a mud wall courtyard. The Limasan is a constructed mainly from natural materials, such as teak which is now very difficult to find even in Indonesia. It has a six metre roof and massive pillars creating a very funky, contemporary space albeit within an antique, traditional building. It has a ceiling fan and a floor fan for very hot days but with so many doors and windows it is easy to live in this wonderful space.
Accès des voyageurs
Breakfast can be served in your villa but is NOT included in the price. It is charged on a sliding scale depending on what you order and is inexpensive. This is because the staff keeps the proceeds.
Guests have access to the pool from 8am until 9.30pm. Please ask our staff if you need or want to change pool towels. The pool is private to our property, however it is shared between guests staying in the four other houses on our property.
Please note that our staff only work from 8 AM until 5 PM, after that we have security on the property. If you plan on checking in after 5 PM, please inform us so we can arrange for somebody to be on the property to greet you. Thank you.
Carefully read our 'directions and tips', that are shared once your booking is confirmed. We are aware the property is out of the way, and we have provided in detail instructions to help you find us.
Our staff are available should you wish to order food throughout the day, however if you'd like to order dinner please ensure to inform them before 5 PM as that is when they all go home for the day.
UPDATE: We have recently added signs on the roads pointing to Pondok Wahyu, to assist in finding the property should you be coming by yourself or with your own driver.

Our staff will welcome you on arrival and help you arrange transportation, tours and any other activities you might be interested in. Our staff are reliable and happy to help. They will help you with any requirements you may have. When you check out the staff will ask you for cash for any additional purchases that you make. We do not accept cards. This is because all proceeds of all sales whilst you are at Pondok Wahyu goes to the staff not the owners. This is not common in Bali and is one of the things that makes Pondok Wahyu unique.
If this property booked on your request dates, please look up our other unique villas on the same property "Pondok Wahyu":
THE TOWER GLADAK
THE TWIN GLADAK
GARDEN VIEW SUITE
** PSA: There is currently construction going on at our neighbors property affecting the following 3 houses: Twin Gladaks, Limasan and Garden View Suite. The Tower Gladak, Joglo and Poolside Suite seem relatively unaffected by this as they are on the other side of our property, further away from the construction. We have not yet been told when this construction will be over, however we expect it will be ongoing for the next couple of months.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this, other than warn our guests. Most people have not had any problems with the noise at all, however a few have been disturbed. When this has been the case we try, as best we can depending on availability, to help move the guests to a different house - further away from the construction. There are times where it is particularly noisy, and times where no construction noise can be heard at all. We have no control over this and apologize for any inconvenience caused. **
Smile at the staff, be inspired by the environment and feel gratitude for the opportunity. This is likely to be the trip of your lifetime. Enjoy it and whilst you are doing that, please do not smoke inside the wooden houses for obvious reasons.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 %. En cas d'annulation au cours des 7 jours précédant le voyage, la réservation est non remboursable.
I am in my 20s and lived in Indonesia for around 8 years. Originally I am British and I lived at Pondok Wahyu for many years myself. I moved away from Bali however and I am happy to share this space with others.
In early 2016 I began managing Airbnb for Pondok Wahyu living on a tiny island just a few hours away from Bali, called Gili Air. In mid 2016 I moved to a small village in Cornwall, UK and I have been living in Cornwall ever since (where I also run another Airbnb). Please keep in mind that there may be a delay in responding due to the time difference, although I do try my best to respond promptly.
I have stayed at many Airbnbs myself so I do understand the importance of quality service and communication. I believe I am an honest and compassionate person, who will try to help in any way possible - although, like most, I do maintain my boundaries. Ultimately my goal is to aid in the transition over to Pondok Wahyu and allow guests to feel comfortable asking any questions about their upcoming trip. I have been managing the airbnb for Pondok Wahyu for over a year and a half now, with 364+ reviews and even more trips hosted!
