Internet slow? That's curious. Wish you would have told me that while you were there Greta...our rental home provides Time Warner Cable's second highest internet speed/bandwidth and WiFi internet service option. They claim it's enough for many people to be streaming and doing things simultaneously. It's possible you weren't even connected to the WiFi, I guess. It's the same internet package we use at our home of seven including five kids 19-25 all using together, plus Netflix, etc, and we never have any problems to speak of. You probably weren't connected to the WiFi network. I'm going over there today and check it out.
We advertise as a charcoal grill and not a propane grill (safety, and we discussed that), even though those propane attachments remain in tact there in case someone wants to try it. Last guests there used it and did not report a problem...wish you would have mentioned something while you were there, and I could have maybe done something to assist. We are going to remove that grill altogether, now that you've commented dissatisfaction, and replace it with a strictly charcoal grill.
Greta, I did cut the grass on your next to last day there. Granted the back yard was a bit high, and the front yard was just fine length. That is a problem with partial-week booking when there are weekly interval upkeep schedules. Just curious though, when I myself mentioned the higher than preferred grass in the backyard only, upon your check-in and our walk around...you said no problem with it as was, and acted very ambivalent as to whether I were to hustle over to cut it right away or whatever...you showed no real interest in that issue upon check-in, nor during your stay, and we talked several times.
Not a "terrible, terrible stay"? While there, you expressed yourself in positive tones and details to me on numerous occasions, that everything was just fine...just the kind of nice little, last minute getaway place you were looking for.
This is a rental home like a cottage or cabin might be considered when folks bring their own linens, etc...that's just our set-up, others do it differently. We do offer to provide the linens, etc for a separate service fee...you chose against that. 98% of guests opt to provide their own linens and toiletries.
Regarding "housekeeping", we are not a hotel or motel, however, we do offer a very wide variety of special services at separate service fees for any guest that are interested. You didn't mention any desire for housekeeping services before or during your stay. Greta's small group was only booked for three nights...I'm really at a loss to understand what kind of "housekeeping" might be expected with a rental home arrangement?
For each guest, we do a full cleaning procedure, and remove any items that might have been left by other guests, especially foodstuffs, kids playdough crumblings, wilted flowers in used vases, left behind little towels that aren't part of our standard issue, and other partially used supplies. Each new rental group starts out with a nice fresh starter supply of all the items mentioned on the website descriptions.
