That is certainly not a complaint that we have ever heard from any other guests, as is easily seen by other reviews. Indeed, no one with a dog had stayed in the guest house for a couple of months, and our housekeeper is immaculate. What this guest does not divulge is that after arriving on Memorial Day weekend, our busiest holiday, and staying one night, he requested to check out with a refund, without giving any reason. This is certainly the first we have heard from him about "dog smells", and not something anyone else has ever mentioned. This group obviously did not appreciate a full country experience--it happens, the country isn't for everyone. But the reason for the bad review isn't dirt, it is the fact that we declined to accommodate an unreasonable request that is well outside our policy. We hope that his future travels are more focused on urban areas where they will likely be much more comfortable.
