This 2 bedroom loft at White Gables is centrally-located to some of the Island's best restaurants. We're an easy 5 min walk to the King & Prince Hotel and East Beach, a local favorite. New furnishings, comfy bedding, and reliable wifi. This spacious loft has a kitchen, big bathroom, office nook and private deck. 15 minute walk to the village. This is instant book listing. Le logement
The Overlook Loft is a private upstairs apartment in the historic White Gables beach cottage. It has a private entry staircase that leads to a private porch and entry door. The porch looks out over a spacious grassy park, lined with old-growth spruce trees and tropical palms. The porch is a great place to have morning coffee or evening drinks and has plenty of seating to entertain.

The private entry off of the porch leads into the split level spacious apartment, with the kitchen directly to the right and the living space down a hallway. The fully renovated kitchen features high end appliances including a gas stove, Bosch dishwasher and LG refrigerator. The cabinets are stocked with all the essentials you will need to cook a nice meal for your friends and family. There is a large table with seating for 4 in the kitchen, but being right off the porch, it is easy to extend dining to the outdoor area.

Climb the historic stairs to reach the hallway connecting the 2 bedrooms, living room, and bathroom. The hall bath has a shower/tub with a handheld shower-head. There is ample storage with the built in bathroom shelves and the under-sink drawers and cabinet. A pair of new Samsung Washer/Dryer are also located in the bathroom. Organic shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap are provided along with a hair dryer and fresh, white towels.

There are 2 bedrooms located off of the hallway, right after the bathroom. Each bedroom has queen sized beds with new memory foam mattresses and fresh, white linens. Each room is decorated with understated elegant furnishings. Ample hanging space and luggage racks are located throughout.

There is a huge living area located at the end of the hall which comfortably seats 4-5 people. There is also a private desk nook with outlets and floor-to-ceiling windows that view the triangular park with old-growth oaks that canopy a large grassy area. Each room has a 50" Roku TV that has Xfinity cable and Netflix. All the TVs are controlled by one simple remote.

If you take some time to observe the details of the rooms you'll see this house has a beautiful historic charm. The walls are solid concrete plaster and the doors are original to the house, with mortise lock handles and a unique panelling. If you look really closely you might find some hidden spaces ;) This was originally part of the main house, as seen by the original staircase that leads into the apartment, but was later converted to a long term separate unit. The space is over 1200 sq. ft with windows everywhere you look, displaying the beautiful, grown in neighborhood and connected parks.

We strive to provide a high level of attention to detail. You find the apartment is immaculately clean and has a nice lived-in feel, with personal touches like art and books that we have enjoyed. We also provide high quality bedding and linens and a nice moderately-firm foam mattress to relax and sleep in. Backpack beach chairs and beach towels are included. The beach is just 2-blocks away making it east to come back for lunch or a bathroom break.

The entire upstairs porch and apartment is a private space for you to enjoy. You will have a private outdoor staircase that leads to the porch and parking is right in front of the stairs. The 2 parks that border the house are a common space.

This kitchen is well equipped so all you need to bring is your groceries. We like the Harris Teeter app where you can place your order ahead of time for curb-side pickup. We tastefully appoint our bathrooms with the essentials; shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper and hair dryer. We provide a Tesla charger and Nema 14-50 plug for electric car owners. No fee to charge your personal vehicle.

This home is in a quiet, tree covered neighborhood that was started in 1927. We are centrally located to all the destinations on the south end of The Island. The neighborhood homes are upscale, but each home has a unique style. Traffic is usually light, and the neighborhood is great for walking. You can even make your way through several closely connected neighborhoods to get to the village or you can walk down the sidewalk that spans all of Ocean Blvd. The South end is the ideal spot to enjoy a bike ride or walk for hours. The walk to King and Prince or Myrtle Beach is 5 minutes or less.
