Located in Rione Monti, this Rome apartment sits on the 5th floor of a building without a lift.
Its open spaces provide the sleeping area, which consists of a queen size bed, night tables, and lamps.
This is separated by a wall of cupboards from the living area. This offers a table for 6, a double sofa bed and a decorative fireplace.
Along the main wall of the apartment, you’ll find a rich vinyl disc and book collection. In fact, comic book fans will surely enjoy the great collection on the library shelves.
The kitchen corner, although small, does offer a stove top, a sink, a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker. This is a great space in which to grab a quick coffee in the morning or prepare a lunch on the go. In fact, you could even prepare a simple but tasty meal here in the evenings, should you wish to stay within the peace and quiet of your own home.
The bathroom, adjacent to the kitchen, has a shower.
Some of the lovely features of this Rome apartment include its interesting decorative pieces, as well as the sun that floods in during the morning.
Just opposite the apartment’s entrance, you will find the door that leads to the building’s shared terrace. You can access it to sit and relax here whenever you like.
Monti is a trendy neighborhood in the center of Rome. With its name meaning ‘mountains’, it is no surprise that its streets wind up and down a hill, which ascends from the Colosseum area.
This area has no shortage of delicious eateries, ice cream parlors, stylish boutiques and vintage shops. For example, head to the Via del Boschetto is a great place to search for some unique finds.
This is also a lovely area in which to enjoy and ‘aperitivo’, or a delicious Italian meal at one of its many restaurants and bars. We recommend reserving a table at the atmospheric Black Market bar and restaurant.
Monti also lies on the Metro B line, this can take you past the Colosseum, and down through to the Aventino district. Here you will find the lush Giardino degli Aranci, which featured in Sorrentino’s ‘La Grande Bellezza’. This is a great place to relax after some sightseeing, given that it offers many benches which are shaded by its tall orange trees.
Moreover, this metro line will take you all the way to Termini, the central station. From here you can transfer to the Metro A, which will whisk you straight to the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, and then the Vatican area.
