On the edge of the Stanislaus national forest in a quiet neighborhood, your private room is at the far end of the home with a King memory foam bed, TV with Netflix and Amazon, WIFI, and your private bathroom is right outside your door.
Our home is in a very quite neighborhood. The deck catches the morning sun and offers a lovely area for breakfast before heading out to see the sights. There's a great level walk by our house that travels through the forest for miles along a 100-year-old irrigation ditch. In the evening, you can relax in the spa or just read and listen to music on the deck or by the wood stove.
Accès des voyageurs
You'll have full use of the deck, living room, spa, & kitchen privileges. We generally hang out in the family room in the evenings and watch TV. You are welcome to join us, watch TV in your room, or enjoy just sitting in the living room by the fire or on the deck.

We'll be glad to advise you about activities in the area and share our tips regarding hikes and attractions in the area. You will be our only guests. We like to hear about your plans and get to know you, but if you prefer to dash in and out on your way to activities, that's fine, too.
We have a very friendly and playful small (19 lb) dog who thinks everyone should love him.... so he may want to become your friend during your stay. We are dog friendly, so you can bring your pup with you. Our only request is that your pup is also dog friendly and gets along well with playful dogs like ours who may pester to play.
We want you to feel at home, but appreciate quiet between 11 pm to 7 am, However, if you need your coffee at 6 am, we certainly will understand some puttering in the kitchen in the morning. We keep a non-smoking home, so please smoke on the deck only.
My husband and I are newly retired to the mountains near Yosemite to enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer. I enjoy hiking, camping, the theater, gardening, reading, and interesting conversations. Five things I can't live without? Nature, dogs, my husband, intellectual stimulation (reading, conversation, podcasts, you name it!), and chocolate. Favorite destinations? Often tropical locations with the chance to snorkel, hike, and bask in the sun. But not often enough, truly different locations with unique culture and peoples.
My husband and I usually travel together. Neither of us smokes and we are quiet and considerate guests. We have participated in home exchanges and appreciate what it means to host strangers in your home and to be considerate guests in someone else's home.
Life motto? Lots. Today's is "It's easy not to make any mistakes if you don't do anything." (I tend to be a big doer...)
