Our condo is DIRECT OCEANFRONT, BEACHFRONT! You can't get any closer to the ocean than our condo! Maalaea village is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right, we also have a timer controlled A/C just in case the cross breeze in the unit isn't enough for you. There are fans in every room also

From the lanai, gaze out and watch the sun rise over Haleakala (House of the Sun), the long dormant 10,000 foot volcano. Watch green sea turtles bobbing up for air and rolling in the surf, even sunning themselves on the beach. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales as they come back to the islands to give birth and nurse their young in the warm Hawaiian waters. In the summer months during a good south swell, you can watch surfers on the legendary surf break “Freight Trains”, the world’s fastest surfable wave.

We welcome families and children we provide a pack and play, high chair and beach toys upon request to make your trip over easier and lighter! We can also provide a queen size air mattress or a twin army cot if you need any extra sleeping arrangements. Just ask.

Beautifully landscaped grounds with a heated pool will make any stress you have brought with you melt away. Slip into to the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender and all of the other basic supplies to comfortably enjoy cooking and eating in. There is also a great BBQ area oceanfront so you can enjoy the view while you cook up some delicious food!

Our Master Suite is styled to resemble a luxury hotel. We use 100% white cotton 550 thread count sheets, king size pillow top mattress king size down pillows (hyper allergenic upon request). You will be climbing into heaven after a day of exploring our stunning island.

Our bathrooms are beautifully tiled with a clean updated and stylish look. 100% cotton white bath towels and hand towels are of course provided.

Enjoy a meal on the private lanai or just sit out and enjoy the view

At the end of our cul-de-sac is Sugar Beach, 3-4 minute walk from the unit, the longest stretch of sandy beach on Maui. 5 miles of secluded sand to walk, run and beach comb. You won’t find any crowds here because access to the beach is protected from the road by the bird-filled-ponds of Kealia Wildlife Refuge. It is so amazing to walk this beach and literally feel like you have it all to yourself!

A 5 minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to Maalaea Harbor where you will find a small grocery store, deli, craft market, restaurants and the Maui Ocean Center (Maui’s #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping and most of the ocean activities available on Maui (sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing, snorkeling tours & whale watching).

Centrally located Maalaea, makes getting anywhere on the island easy. 15 minutes from the airport, a 5 minute drive south and you are in the long village of Kihei and a bit further, the resorts of Wailea. Twenty minutes to the west is the old whaling village of Lahaina, with it’s magnificent Banyan Tree and shopping galleries. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all Maui has to offer.

UNIT ACCESS There is a lockbox on the door of the unit with your key inside. There will be another set of keys inside along with other information you may need. Please return the key to the lockbox on your door at your departure, please don’t forget to spin the code if applicable.

CLEANING Each property will be inspected and professionally cleaned after your departure. The cleaning fee you have paid will provide for a complete normal cleaning of the property. You are required to leave the property in the same general condition that you found it by making sure the home is generally picked up and ready to be vacuumed and cleaned. If excessive departure cleaning is necessary, an appropriate charge will be
deducted from your security deposit at the rate of $35/hour.

QUIET HOURS For the entire property are from 10:00PM until 8:00AM. At all times, please be considerate of others when adjusting the volume on TVs, Music etc.

POOL, JACUZZI Pool hours are 9:00AM – 9PM. For your safety and enjoyment, we ask that you observe the following rules as being strictly enforced:
-CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE JACUZZI
-No running or jumping in the pool
-Ball playing/paddle ball is not permitted in the pool
-Please use plastic containers for beverages-NO BOTTLES OR GLASS
-Please remove suntan oil and sand at the outdoor shower prior to using the
pool or Jacuzzi
-Babies MUST wear diapers that are specifically made for the pool

FOOD PLEASE DO NOT leave garbage, open food or dirty dishes inside or outside of your unit, as this will quickly attract insects.

SMOKING This building is non-smoking, this includes the lanai. Areas that are set up for smoking are located on the East end of the property by the barbeques and on the West end of the property by the carwash stations. Please properly dispose of all smoking materials and do not discard on the grounds.

ROOM SUPPLIES Each unit is provided with an initial supply of dishwasher, laundry soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Once the initial amount is used, guests are responsible for purchasing their own supplies. No food provisions are supplied.

INTERNET AND BASIC CABLE Each of our units offers free Wi-Fi and basic cable. The network name for the Wi-Fi is COASTAL followed by your unit number all in small case. The password is wirele22. If you are having trouble accessing the Internet please do not attempt to change the Internet settings. Call Oceanic time warner cable @ (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and they can walk you through any problems.

GARBAGE CHUTES Are across from the unit numbers X09 and X10 on the upper floors. The first floor garbage room is located to the left of the front entrance. The Ma’alaea Banyans promotes recycling efforts on Maui and has bins for recycling glass, plastics and aluminum in the first floor garbage room. The doors to the chutes and garbage room are locked from 9:00PM to 8:00AM

LANAI RAILINGS Please do not hang any items from your railings

SEPTIC SYSTEM IMPORTANT PLEASE
-DON’T FLUSH ANYTHING OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILETS. EVEN IF IT SAYS IT’S FLUSHABLE.
- IF ITS NOT TOILET PAPER DON’T FLUSH IT.
-IN THE EVENT OF A CLOG YOU WILL BE BILLED IF THE PLUMBER FINDS IT TO BE YOUR FAULT

SURFBOARDS/PADDLEBOARDS/WINDSURFERS Should be stored on the roof rack of your car or inside your unit. They cannot be kept on the lanais or in the hallways.

BARBEQUE GRILLS are located East of the pool area. The grills are equipped with gas. No charcoal is permitted. Please brush off the grill and clean up the area when you are finished. Be sure to shut off both gas control knobs. No other common areas may be used for cooking. It is against the Hawaii State Fire Code to barbeque on the lanais or within 15 feet of the building.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT: DO NOT DEPART FOR HAWAII WITHOUT TAKING ALONG YOUR PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS OR SAVED IN YOUR EMAIL/PHONE. Phones run out of power, its best to have it printed.

Check-in time is 4PM (HST). Check-out time is 11AM. A late check-out option is available at an additional charge of 50% of the daily rate + tax. (Based on availability) Upon departure please insure that all doors and windows are locked, A/C AND lights are off. Return the key to the lockbox. There will be a $75.00 for each lost key.

The location is good to drive around through Maui island. However, the sofa is stale and the bed smells moldy. Also, even though the AC is in the living room still the cold air does not go to the bedroom and there is no ceiling fan in the bedroom. So it is pretty hot for sleeping comfortably. There is a fan for the bedroom but it is old so it is not effective to get rid of heatwave in the bedroom. While husband and I stayed here, the toilet was clogged at midnight. (After all, the problem was revealed that someone has flushed baby wipes...) The host immediately sent us a plumber. However, we couldn't use the toilet during the night and the next day until noon. Also, the water just flooded into the bedroom. We had to move to another place to stay in because we couldn't waste our vacation and worried all days due to the facility issue.

A fantastic view. Basic furnishings, comfortable bed. Washer and dryer did not smell moldy - despite previous reviews. However a few cleaning supplies and an extra set of sheets would have been welcome

My husband and I stayed at Kristine's place for 5 nights and are absolutely pleased with the home. We love to explore and were able to do so as the place is very central. We really only spent nights on property - it is quiet, clean and although there is no AC in bedroom as previous reviews state we slept very comfortably with a stand up fan that Kristine provided. Overall we are very happy with our stay. Thank you so much Kristine.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to others. Major pluses are location and price. The condo was very clean other than a bit of sand on the floors. Also as others said, the air conditioning was a bit uncomfortable for us. The good definitely outweighed the bad and we would rent from Kristen again for sure!

The condo was perfectly placed within walking distance between a low traffic public beach and an array of shops. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed to make food. The bathroom, with its wall art and jacuzzi tub, was a sight to behold. The view of the bay, too, did not disappoint. Everything was fairly clear to us over the course of our stay, but Kristine answered any questions we had almost instantly. Two points: 1) pay close attention to the washing machine and make sure it's doing what you expect, and 2) the nearest grocery store with more than a handful of items is 20 minutes away.
