True B&B w/ Full Breakfast! Spacious, comfortable private room with fireplace, Queen bed, Sofa, Coffee table, TV & Internet. Enjoy a full breakfast, read in the rose garden or do yoga on the patio!
Convenient to downtown LA, Pasadena, Glendale
Welcome to our centrally located mid-century modern home!
Secluded from the buzz of downtown LA but barely 3 miles from it, you will come up the hill of Montecito Heights with its broad street, rustic atmosphere and old world charm. We are conveniently located equidistant from downtown LA and Pasadena; & almost as close to Glendale, within walking/ biking distance of Debb’s park (WILDLIFE reserve), and 2.5 miles away from the hip and happening restaurants on York Blvd.
Enjoy VIEWS of the sunset during the northern solstice, and expansive views of the snow-clad northern Pasadena hill range during those elusive winter months. Read, write or relax by the FOUNTAIN in our rustic rose garden, or enjoy your meditation & YOGA practice every morning in the fragrance of organic rosemary, lavender, jasmine and tulsi helping you delve deeper into your Self. The only occasional distraction you may have is the buzz of humming birds enjoying nectar from the flowers. Take a walk in the neighborhood or, for a true cardio workout, go all the way to the Pond in Debb’s park.
You will be comfortable in the home with access to the kitchen*, living & dining areas. Be able to focus on your work with high-speed wi-fi or take a TV break if you so desire. Enjoy your favorite 'network' shows (abc/ nbc/ cbs etc; no cable) live on antenna TV or on Hulu next day. The room itself is a large 14’ x 18’ (240 sq.ft) room with a FIREPLACE and an adjoining bathroom, accommodates 2 on the bed with possible arrangements for a kid/ 3rd young person, on the sofa. We do serve a full continental breakfast, or an INDIAN 'Ayurvedic' breakfast on some days (if you like, & manageable), with access to tea/ coffee/ microwave all day.
We have 2 medium dogs who enjoy giving & receiving attention the first 15 mins, but will soon be on their way once you settle down. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets but could make an occasional exception for a small dog.
* Kitchen access is limited to coffee/ tea/ fridge & microwave; not meant for cooking.

We have been together for nearly 15 years and travelled quite a few countries. Zubin worked for large corporations and staying in hotels was the norm. While using frequent traveller points was fun, we always longed for more intimate places of stay, where one could meet new people and enjoy the actual culture of the place. After some recent experiences, we decided to open our own home to travelers; to seekers of the 'personal connection'.
Zubin, an experienced Business & IT Consultant, recently changed fields to study in the field of Ayurveda (an ancient system of medicine from India, yes East India!) and is now a qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner. He loves to cook, travel, and meet new people and is currently busy setting up his Ayurvedic Consultations practice, hoping to help and to heal people in pain.
Carlos, the often quiter one, has a Masters in Public Administration and works in the Public Sector.
We moved from VA to CA in 2007. After an exhausting search for a new house, we stepped into this place and immediately fell in love with it, deciding to make it our 'home'. The front yard, the open layout, and the amazing views touched our hearts immediately.
We are both non-smokers, nature/ animal lovers, pretty good cooks, and enjoy quiet dinners over a music club any day.
We look forward to meeting with interesting people!
