Wishingwell Farm is nestled 317m above sea level amongst the mountains, surrounded by 40 acres of Australian native wildlife, flora, fauna and spectacular views. Enjoy the serenity, fresh air, peace and quiet and listen to nature at its best!

Le logement
We have two individual guest rooms available. The 'Peacock' room has a queen size bed and full ensuite and the 'Fairywren' room has a double bed with separate toilet room with wash basin only. We can supply a portal cot if necessary. The two rooms are separated by a hallway and we give a discount if booking both rooms together. This accommodate is perfect for either a family of four or two couples. For our visitor's privacy there is a door and stairwell to separate the guests area from the main house.
The Peacock room is supplied with a kettle, bar fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee plunger, crockery and cutlery. Included is museli, fruit, milk, bread for toasting, jam, honey, butter, teas and coffee. For a fee of $5 per person we can provide farm fresh eggs, bacon (mushrooms for vegans) and tomato for you to prepare and cook yourself.
There is a small outdoor kitchenette with cooking and dining facilities including a bbq, frypan, sink with tap, bench and cupboard space, small dining table and chairs. During winter we can provide an outdoor gas heater if requested.
Enjoy sharing an outdoor dining experience on the small enclosed verandah and enjoy a leisurely evening under the fairylights, it's also a great area to view and be entertained by the many domestic and native animals and birds living on the property. Walk around the property to see the kangaroos and wallabies feeding in the paddocks at dusk and dawn.
If you book around September/October you may be fortunate enough to discover the wonder of the fireflies during mating season as they light up the night with their magical glow on a warm humid evening.
During your visit enjoy patting, talking and hand feeding our ducks, miniature farm animals and their babies at Wishingwell Farm.
Drive 6km to Hanging Rock Falls for a swim or perhaps just clear the mind of clutter and meditate amongst the peace and serenity of running water. There's so much more to learn and explore in the Northern Rivers region, it's a great place to find yourself.

Accès des voyageurs
We breed miniature ponies, miniature goats, Highland, Dexter and Galloway cattle, ducks, chickens, peafowl and guinea fowl. Our property is opposite Buchanan Rd, 45km south west of Murwillumbah, 30km north of Kyogle and 15km west of Nimbin.
Join Jenny to meet and pat our friendly miniature farm animals at feeding time around 4-5pm daily.
Enjoy produce from our small herb and vegie garden or buy some farm fresh eggs to take home, when available.
Annie's Cafe is just next door and is open Wednesday to Sunday 9am - 5pm.
Wadeville Woolies is a country general store and bottleshop with laundry facilities. They sell take away meals and some grocery necessities.
Visit Blue Knob Art Gallery (open Thursday to Sunday 10am-3pm) to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, lunch or view and buy some unique local artwork to take home. On Saturday morning they have a small farmer's market with great fresh local produce to buy.
Every Sunday at Sphinx Rocks Cafe you can experience a great afternoon with live music enjoying a delicious meal with wine, beer, cider or juice and there's a sandpit and playground area to occupy the children, too. The Cafe is only 13km north of Wishingwell Farm at Mt Burrell.

Autres points à prendre en note
Visit the wonders of World Heritage listed Border Ranges National Park, my favourite place is Pinnacle lookout where the view is breathless on a clear day. Challenge yourself to hike up Mt Warning (Wollombin) to watch the sunrise then on your way home treat yourself to a scrumptious meal sitting in the garden beside Cedar creek at one of the local restaurants. Hanging Rock waterfall (6km south west on Williams Rd) is a great spot to either cool down, relax, enjoy a picnic, meditate or just sit and watch the tortoises.
Visit the famous village of Nimbin, (19km east) it has become an icon of Australian cultural history and is known as the alternative lifestyle capital. This village has unique mural streetscape of indigenous, rainforest and psychedelic facades. Join the colourful local characters most every Friday evening as they perform "Drumming" in the main street. While in Nimbin we recommend eating at either Armonica (best home-made pasta ever!) or La Trattoria (pizzas are "bellissimo") both are great little Italian BYO restaurants. Visit Nimbin Bush Theatre for great food and live theatre or The Nimbin Hotel has very good pub meals with live music every Friday and Saturday nights.

My husband and I moved to the mountains in 2012 to find peace, tranquillity and a sense of well-being. We have experience and knowledge of 4 wheel driving in the outback of Australia and have travelled across most deserts. Since living here, we continue to endeavour to build and maintain our dream hobby farm. Planting fruit trees, producing an edible vegetable and herb garden, breeding and caring for miniature farm animals and birds are a continuum concept of our chosen lifestyle. We do our best to maintain a healthy lifestyle by taking advantage of the many local organic produce markets, bush walking in the local national parks, swimming and fossicking in the local creeks and rivers. Art and craft and playing my spirit flute keeps me mindful, I find it very relaxing and self rewarding. I'm happy to interact with guests but also respect their privacy, as I do mine. We invite guests to Wishingwell Farm because we are surrounded by such a beautiful and majestic environment that we feel it's only fair to share it with others. Please stay and relax on our mountain and I will promise you that you will return home feeling revitalised and take home some precious memories.
