The Grey Shingles Camps property has been a cottage colony since the 1940's. We have just completed extensive renovations. Our aim is to have our guests experience the vacations of old with a modern sensibility! The property consists of five acres of open lawn, woodland, an orchard, and a private waterfront with beach and docks on pristine Rust Pond. Amenities include kayaks, SUP's, canoe, pickleball & volleyball courts, horseshoes. The Rec Hall has a full kitchen, cable TV, pingpong, and more!

Le logement

Sweet Apple Camp has a wonderful view of the Apple Orchard, The Ruins, and the woodland. It sleeps 2 in 225 SF of living space.

Its entry is via a side deck through French doors, making it extremely private. It has a queen bed with nightstands, a bathroom with full shower, and a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, toaster, and skillet. It also has a hand hewn pine peninsula with barstool seating. Garden seating and a grill complete this camp. Sweet Apple Camp has a theme of gardens and birds which are both very dear to our hearts!

This was easily one of my favorite vacations - from quiet time in a hammock to kayaking up and down the lake to an evening by the campfire - it was everything I was looking for in a summer getaway. Robin and Rich are great hosts, providing helpful info and making sure everything is in order. The camp is well-appointed and feels like the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern convenience. It's a place you can feel at home instantly. I loved the location on Rust Pond adjacent to Lake Winnipesaukee. It's quieter, but is also just a few minutes from all the shops and restaurants in Wolfeboro. The location is great for running the local rail trails, swimming & kayaking in the lake, or just relaxing. Being able to walk down to the private beach area was so convenient and the water was absolutely pristine. I came for a quiet and restorative trip, and it was the perfect location - but it also made me want to bring family and friends back with me, because of all the features that make it perfect for groups. It's a great place to make memories!

I visited the Grey Shingles camp with my girlfriend over Memorial Day weekend 2017. For us, the experience was the perfect balance of comfort/home and outdoors. The cabin had everything you'd want from a hotel room/suite, with the perfect touches of country decor to remind you that you were still away, in NH, on a campground. Having access to a charcoal grill, kayaks, swings, cornhole, a fire pit, etc. was the perfect way for us to welcome in summer. In addition to the camp itself, Robin and Rich were excellent hosts, taking the time get to know us when we crossed paths, while also still allowing the camp to feel like a private getaway. We can't wait for our next trip back to Grey Shingles.

This is the best Airbnb experience we had so far. We can only recommend this place to anyone looking for the prefect getaway in the Lakes Region. We came during peak foliage in mid October and it was amazing. Robin and Rich are exceptional hosts. They made sure that our weekend was absolutely perfect. We'll definitely come back next summer! Grey Shingles is a beautiful camp in an ideal location. The premises are meticulously kept, and Rust Pond (the lake that is right on the premises) is really quiet and invited us to try the canoes (they have free kayaks and SPBs, too). The cabins are cute, spacious and very clean. They're fully equipped with everything you need, even a grill! Wolfeboro is just a 5 min drive away. And lots of great hikes are easily accessible from Grey Shingles. There's really no reason not to stay at Grey Shingles.

Robin and Rich could not have picked a better spot to create an Airbnb experience! You have everything you need right on site and the condition of the cabins when we arrived were more than what we could have asked for. There is a walkway to a very serene pond that is about 500 feet from the property itself. There is an expansive lawn for frisbee, soccer, etc. You'll find that the experience between other guests in other cabins is extremely friendly and interactive. The town of Wolfeboro itself was the reason we came, but the grey shingles camps will certainly be the reason Julia and I make this a Labor Day tradition. This was hands-down the best Airbnb experience you can ask for if you enjoy quality times with loved ones amongst the outdoors. Highly, highly recommended.

Hi! We are Rich and Robin Wyman. We purchased Grey Shingles in the summer of 2015 having fallen in love at first site with this beautiful property and Wolfeboro!

We moved from our family home of 30 years in Massachusetts where we raised our two children, Sam and Rachel. Now that they're off doing their own things we have only our other two kids- Tucker, our 13 year old shelter pup from Georgia, and Archie, a new puppy rescued from Mississippi. They love it here, too! After many summers of our kids going to camp and our family vacationing around Lake Winnipesaukee, we decided to move here and begin a new adventure together. Thus begins the next chapter of Grey Shingles Camps!

Rich's career in landscape management spanned 30 years in the Boston area. He oversaw the care of many prestigious Boston properties including the award winning Post Office Square, Landmark Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Museum of Fine Arts. Having begun his work as a Certified Arborist, and earning the MCLP distinction, Rich knows and understands all aspects of the landscape business. He brings his talents to Grey Shingles Camps as well as his love of all sports, recreation, and having fun!

Robin has spent the last 30 years operating Robin Wyman Landscape Design in metrowest Boston. Having always loved plants, she brought her natural design aesthetic and great knowledge of plant material to hundreds of clients. During a period of tremendous development in the surrounding suburbs, Robin provided landscape planning to homeowners, architects, and towns as well as building and landscape contractors. She also brings her talents to Grey Shingles Camps as well as her love of family, fun, and nature.

We are thrilled to be able to offer an authentic camp experience to our guests in completely renovated accommodations with use of our property and waterfront. It is a special place and we hope you will visit and create your own special memories here!

We welcome you to Grey Shingles Camps!
