À propos de ce logement
The stand-alone studio is detached from the main house. It has a queen-size bed, kitchenette, off-street parking, and access to the laundry room and backyard with firepit and propane grill. There is a swamp cooler for the summer months and heat in the winter. It is perfect for solo adventurers or a couple!
The studio is a great respite from local tourism or work. It is located on the side of the main house and has a private parking space off-street. It has a new queen-size bed with high thread count sheets and space for relaxing. There is no TV, but there is a bluetooth speaker for music or podcasts and a few reading materials. For food/fun, I am happy to point you in the direction of local venues/activities. If you chose to stay in, there is room for some food prep - with a microwave, toaster over and great big chopping block. The propane grill is also free for your use. I provide bedding, towels, and bath essentials.
Accès des voyageurs
In addition to the stand alone studio, guests can access the backyard, which is spacious and includes a firepit and propane grill.

- The studio is equipped with a swamp cooler. For those not familiar with these (it is a desert thing!), feel free to read up on it. To operate the swamp cooler, a window needs to be kept open.
- The firepit may only be used when winds are low and if fires are put out fully upon departure. Since Las Cruces is very dry, fires pose a serious risk to communities.

I am a biologist by training. I’m good at: making brunch; cooking on backpacking stoves; babysitting; making people laugh; designing experiments; writing about scientific research. I am strong-willed, intense, funny and often sarcastic. I can be pretty geeky, but I am not into gaming or cult TV shows. I am most myself and in the moment when I am around children. In traveling, I like clean (small) spaces with amazing touches. I have rented through Airbnb before and am brand new to being a host. I am excited to meet new people, but will totally leave you alone if you prefer - I can respect that!
