For a few days, make our farm your own. Bunk House is a traditional log cabin at the heart of our family's 64-acre working horse farm and wedding estate. Explore horses, trails, the fishing pond and wide-open spaces—all less than 2 minutes from downtown Townsend. Then come home to your private hot tub, porch and glass-front wood-burning stove, with a ramp entrance, one-level interior and flexible sleeping for up to 5.

Le logement
Bunk House is a traditional one-level log cabin at the heart of Country Manor Acres, especially convenient to the horse stables, petting farm and swing set. You'll have a private hot tub, covered porch and a ramp leading to the entrance. But the cabin is only part of what you're staying here for.

At Country Manor Acres, we have a different measure of luxury.

Some of the most valuable parts of our property are the acres we've chosen not to build on. Our accommodations are intentionally scattered across our family's 64-acre horse farm and wedding estate because we believe open space has value. It gives our horses pasture, our guests room to wander, our children room to explore, and all of us something that's becoming increasingly difficult to find: room to breathe.

Bunk House was built in the 1990s in the tradition of the pioneer cabins found in nearby Cades Cove. The goal was to capture the warmth and character of an earlier Smoky Mountain cabin while providing the comforts of modern life.

We've continued that philosophy ever since.

You'll find comfortable bedding, heat and air, Wi-Fi, television, an equipped kitchen and private hot tub, along with well-maintained original features that have served the cabin perfectly well for years.

We don't believe something loses its value simply because something newer has been invented.

THE CABIN

Bunk House has a private bedroom with a king bed.

The living area provides three twin-size bunk sleeping spaces and a queen sleeper futon, giving families or small groups flexible sleeping arrangements while we intentionally limit occupancy to five guests.

The cabin has one full bathroom plus an additional half bathroom.

The kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom and bathrooms are all on one level.

A ramp leads to the cabin entrance. While this provides step-free entry and the interior is one level, we do not represent Bunk House as fully wheelchair accessible.

The living area also features something unique among our cabins: a glass-front wood-burning stove. We provide firewood, so you can enjoy the warmth and sight of a real wood fire during your stay.

OUTSIDE

Settle into a rocking chair on the covered porch or head to your private hot tub and relax among the trees.

Bunk House is our closest cabin to the horse stables, petting farm and swing set, putting you especially close to everyday life on the farm.

And beyond the cabin?

Sixty-four acres.

That's where your stay at Country Manor Acres really begins.

Accès des voyageurs
Your cabin is private. The farm is yours to explore.

Country Manor Acres is our family's 64-acre working horse farm and wedding estate, and our lodging guests are invited to experience the property rather than simply look at it.

Walk the trails through woods and open fields. Wander over to the stables and visit the horses. Meet the animals at the petting farm. Bring a fishing pole to the catch-and-release pond, or take the shared guest boat out on the water with the provided oars and paddles. Explore the gardens. And when the season is right, keep an eye out for wild blackberries, blueberries and mulberries growing around the property.

Bunk House puts you especially close to the everyday life of the farm. It's our closest cabin to the horse stables, petting farm and swing set.

Private guided horseback rides are available for an additional charge by advance appointment, as are horse-drawn wagon and carriage experiences. We intentionally limit the number of rides we offer because we don't believe in overusing our horses—or our land.

Our shared estate fire pit near the Country Manor Acres office is also available to lodging guests. Find a seat as evening settles over the farm—the view from there is one of our favorites on the entire property.

Country Manor Acres is also a wedding estate, which is one reason so much care goes into preserving the landscape. The fields, gardens and mountain views couples choose for their wedding photographs are the same surroundings our lodging guests get to enjoy every day.

Depending on when you visit, you might even look across the farm and catch a glimpse of a wedding taking place on a distant hillside.

There is life here, but rarely a crowd.

We've intentionally kept the number of accommodations small for 64 acres. You might walk a trail without seeing another person, then meet another family fishing at the pond or enjoying the fire later that evening.

It's privacy without isolation.

And you don't have to schedule every minute.

Watch the horses. Let the kids explore. Take the boat out on the pond. Walk with nowhere particular to go. Find a rocking chair. Watch the mountains change with the evening light.

Then, after dark, step outside and look up.

Away from the glow of the city, clear nights reveal a sky filled with stars—the kind of night sky many of us have almost forgotten exists.

All of this is less than two minutes from the restaurants and conveniences of downtown Townsend and just minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

You don't have to go far away to get away.

For a few days, this is your farm too.

Autres points à prendre en note
Country Manor Acres is a real working horse farm and wedding estate, not a resort built to resemble one.

Daily life continues around the property during your stay. You may see horses moving between the stables and pastures, our family working around the farm, children playing, equipment maintaining the property, or a horse-drawn wagon making its way down a gravel road.

You may also occasionally look across the property and see a wedding taking place on one of our distant ceremony sites. The same mountain views, fields and carefully maintained landscape that bring couples here are part of what our lodging guests get to enjoy every day.

Our roads are gravel, and country life comes with nature. You may encounter insects, wildlife, leaves, pollen, dust, changing weather and the occasional muddy spot after a Tennessee rain.

We consider those part of being in the country rather than flaws in the experience.

Bunk House was built in the 1990s in the tradition of the pioneer cabins found in nearby Cades Cove. We've updated the things that make a stay comfortable while keeping well-maintained original features that continue to serve their purpose beautifully.

We don't replace something simply because something newer exists.

At Country Manor Acres, we have a different measure of luxury.

If your idea of luxury includes 64 acres to explore, mountain views, horses in the pasture, a sky full of stars, room for the kids to roam, and a place that hasn't been polished until its character disappeared, you may find that Country Manor Acres offers something much harder to find.

Some of the most valuable parts of this property are the acres we've chosen not to build on.

Open space isn't wasted space.

It's part of the luxury.

A few practical notes:

• Maximum occupancy is 5 guests.
• No pets, except qualifying service animals.
• No guest-hosted parties or events.
• No smoking inside the cabin.
• A ramp provides step-free entry, and the cabin interior is entirely on one level.
• We do not represent Bunk House as fully wheelchair accessible.
• The additional sleeping spaces are located in the living area.
• Country Manor Acres has other lodging accommodations scattered throughout the estate.

And perhaps most importantly: come prepared to slow down a little.

That's part of what you're paying for.
