Only 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam you'll find the rural village of Broek in Waterland, with its 17th century wooden houses and tranquil canals. Here we live, in our newly built houseboat with clear views over the fields with cows, sheep and a variety of birdlife.
Our watervilla measures over 180 m2, has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 7 people. You want to enjoy the beauty of Amsterdam, and come home to a campfire, barbecue and quiet night filled with frog concerts?
Than look no further and check out our houseboat that comes a private rowing boat. You can rent bikes in the village and sometimes we have some available.
Broek in Waterland has a small supermarket, a drugstore with local food, a pancake restaurant and two other cosy restaurants.
Bike in 20 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam, or take one of the local busses that stop in town and bring you to Amsterdam in only 7 minutes. Or stay home for the day, dive into the canal from the livingroom or spend the afternoon in the hammock overlooking the fields in our rear garden.
In the evening you can light one of the 2 outdoor fireplaces and fire up the barbecue.
Beats the tourist trap restaurants at the Red Light District :-)
