“The Small House In Katalagari” was re-built 10 years ago with a special goal in mind; the ground and the first floor should be as “compact” as possible, providing all the necessary items that will allow each floor to be self-sufficient, with its own kitchen, full bathroom with shower and a couch that will sleep two. Exception is the 3rd floor where are the actual 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and a door for privacy. The end result is: it sleeps 8 adults but it is a bit crowded but 6 adults are just fine. We tested the house with 2 couples and a father with 2 kids’ total 7 people and were just fine. One more detail that should not go un-noticed, we used large windows in order to enjoy the Cretan bright sun light, especially the sunrise over the Lassithi Mountains across the horizon, and the amazing view of the valley beneath.
The reason of the house set-up is obvious; we wanted to use the house as our base in order to explore with our children and our friends, the amazing island of Crete.
