You’ll love this perfect romantic getaway in the forest with beautiful walks, hikes, and adventure close by. A short 3 blocks to the village center. If you've ever wanted to live in a 1928 "Tiny House" this is your chance. 446 SqFt of coziness. Adorably decorated with vintage and cabin-ish items. Hike to the Waterfall, Mt. San Gorgonio, or just walk through the woods, along the river or just sit on the back deck in peace. Close to Forest Home Camp and back-country driving. NO DOGS NO EXCEPTIONS
There are absolutely NO DOGS, PETS, SERVICE ANIMALS, or anything other than human beings allowed. No exceptions. Please don't ask. And of course, don't smoke anything inside. Now that this is out of the way....This is a "super cute cabin", at least that's how friends usually describe it. Park your car and stay put for the weekend. You can walk to the village center and enjoy our only restaurant which often has live music. Definitely every Friday and Saturday. Often on Sundays as well. If you play acoustic, and have your instrument, you could just ask and they'll probably let you play if no one else is. Cute little galleries and shops but the area is famous for it's forest hikes to the local waterfall. If you're coming in the Summer to get out of the heat, the Autumn to enjoy the fall colors, or the winter for a snowy adventure, you'll have a nice and relaxing time. Perfect place to unwind, write your book, or just get away from the hustle and bustle. It's a "tiny house" with 446 sqft of coziness. I love this place and hope you do as well. It's worth knowing that this is an area that can get hit with massive snow storms. Please be prepared. If you have a 4x4/AWD, it might be best to bring that. You will definitely need to carry chains with any vehicle. And unfortunately I will not be able to give you a refund if you can't get to the cabin unless the road.
Accès des voyageurs
You can access everything. I leave food in the cabinet and frig. If you want to eat some, please replace it with some random thing that you think another guest might like. That goes for the beer too. I love beer and look forward to sharing my brews with you and seeing what you might leave. "Feel free to help yourself to a beer when you arrive!" My treat as a "Welcome to Your Cabin" gift. You can drink additional beer but please replace it with at least as many of any type you like.

If you need anything or have any concerns about anything at all, send me a note, and I'll respond right away. I do not live there so you have the place to yourself.
Snow and Kitchen:
The kitchen is stocked with a moderate supply of cookware. It's enough. But if you are planing to do elaborate cooking,...well, this is a tiny cabin and space is limited. If this is a concern, drop me a note and I'd be happy to go over exactly everything that is there. I've only had 2 complaints about this. I didn't have a fish poacher. Most people aren't really expecting a gourmet kitchen in a tiny mountain cabin but I figure that I should mention it in case your plan is to make Boeuf Wellington and Baked Alaska.
Now for the snow: This is an area where snow can be a hindrance or a cause for celebration. Clearly everyone who books up here knows this but as a reminder, there are no refunds because of weather. This is bear country, as is all of the San Bernardino National Forest including Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, etc. That said, don't leave food outside and definitely don't throw food products outside thinking that it's ok because it's bio-degradable. I haven't seen any bears nearby but they are well known up there...and anywhere in the forest. Same goes for your car. It's just not wise to tempt our furry friends. Not really anything to worry about but it's just best to know the deal if you don't live in the mountains. You'll enjoy the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. NO DOGS!!! No cats, no birds, no service animals, no creatures other than human beings. Please don't even ask for an exception. Of course there is no smoking inside the cabin. It is best to not even smoke outside as this is such a fire sensitive area. Here are some details regarding the weather and getting up there and out of there...especially in the snow. As with any cabin in the mountains, snow can come in unexpectedly. It is recommended that you carry tire chains/cables and drive an AWD/4x4 anytime that you come to the snow whether it be my cabin or anywhere else on the mountain. Many guests love the fact that there might be snow and come for that reason. I cannot offer refunds based on the weather or your ability to get up here. You'll also need to be prepared to leave as well. As much fun as it is to get "snowed in", there may very well be a guest waiting to arrive. I'm always happy to extend stays but you would need to verify that the extra time is available on the AirBnB website. That said, have fun if it does snow!!! This is one of the only fully "permitted and licensed" rental units in Forest Falls (required by the County of San Bernardino) so sleep well knowing that you are in a legal short-term rental. :-)
No animals of any kind! Only two people total in the house at anytime.
