Overall, I enjoyed staying at Emma's place!
The house is located in a great area. There is enough foot traffic so that the streets never feel empty but not so much that it is crowded like downtown. Although, the house is on a main road I never had an issue with the noise from cars in front and it is close enough to multiple buses that all feed into the subway system.
Emma was a great host. She met me the night I arrived and gave me some food and coffee since it was a holiday and I couldn't buy any groceries. Even thought she is busy with work, school and her family she is pretty quick to respond to messages. She let me leave my luggage past check-out time when I was figuring out the logistics of moving to my next place. I get the sense from her that she really does want you to have a good experience and will help you if you need it.
I stayed in the larger room at the house (i.e., it had enough space for a double bed and single bed and still a lot of space to move around) when I could have managed fine in the smaller room. So just make sure you know which room would work better for you and consult with Emma to see what she has available. When I booked, I didn't know about the smaller room.
Also, if you're attending the Academy School of Realist Art, this Airbnb is a good walking distance. A lot of grocery stores, cafes and restaurants are also nearby.
I would love to stay again and would recommend to family and friends!
