We are the perfect base for your visit to Dublin. The Luas (tram) stop is just a few minutes away as are bus routes and Dublin bike stations. We are close to Guinness Brewery, Kilmainham Gaol, IMMA. All visitors are welcome - couples, friends, solo travelers.
Built in the 1930s, our house is cosy and welcoming. Our home reflects our interests and personalities - our interest in history, the arts and music. Your room is south facing which means it is bright and sunny. We have a small but pretty back garden which you are welcome to use.
Accès des voyageurs
Our guests have access to the common areas of the house and garden. Have a coffee in the garden, weather permitting or hang out in the living room with ourselves.
There is one bathroom in the house for guests and hosts and if everyone is tidy and considerate, there is never a problem.
A light breakfast is served up to 10am, and by prior arrangement, guests can prepare their own meals in the kitchen.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We interact with guests as much or as little as they want.
We offer a light breakfast up to 10am - tea/coffee, toast, orange juice, muesli. If you have any dietary requirements, let me know in advance.
If you would like to stay and there is not much info on your profile, please tell us a little about yourself in your request message.
We have recently adopted a young lurcher dog. He is a lovely calm, well behaved boy.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood and we expect guests to be mindful of that, especially at night.
No overnight guests that are not part of the original booking.
Mike and I work in the arts - I run my own small theatre company and Mike is a writer. You're never too old to learn new skills so for the past few years I've been learning guitar but I'm not sure if I am getting any better! We recently had to say goodbye to our lovely old dog and are seriously considering rescuing another. To relax, I garden, play music and cook - not always at the same time.
