Relax and unwind! This is your peaceful oasis. Imagine yourself waking up hearing and seeing the Atlantic Ocean from your bedroom. (Snuggled in pure cotton bed linen, feather pillows and duvets.) Or watch the white capped waves and sea birds gliding on the winds whilst in the kitchen or dining room. With 20’ of windows, the sunroom/dining room gives you stunning views of the ever changing ocean and sky with the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands as the backdrop.
Situated in a small, quiet fishing village, there are two beaches within walking distance and a large garden to enjoy the peace and quiet and breathe in the fresh air of the ocean.
On the Wild Atlantic Way, you can visit the stunning nearby Cliffs of Moher, and the unique Burren National Park. For golfers, there are two top 100 links golfs courses’ just minutes away at Lahinch and Doonbeg. There are loads of sandy gorgeous beaches for walking, swimming and surfing too and lots of cliff walks too. And let’s not forget, West Clare, home to traditional Irish music and dancing has festivals galore.
Having recently moved to the west coast of Clare after many years in the US, I’m delighted to share this beautiful spot with travellers coming to Ireland. This was my grandmother’s house and I visited every summer. (My parents were both Irish and I grew up in London.)
I love the natural beauty of the landscape here, and particularly living so close to the ocean. The ocean and sky are ever changing and quite phenomenal.
I also love travelling and meeting people from all over the world and learning about new cultures. So now that I’m living here, it seems like a very natural thing to invite travellers to stay and experience this special place too.
Like most people, I’m fairly eclectic. My background is in video and communications. I enjoy the Arts – a good movie, plays, art galleries, reading and writing. I also enjoy nature, walking, gardening, camping in US National Parks is great too. Other interests are popular culture, music and dancing. I love learning. I’m also a foodie; and enjoy a good meal, a good glass of wine as well as good company.
So if you’d like to unwind in a lovely place by the ocean that feels more like a home away from home with a more relaxed vibe and more space than a B&B or hotel, welcome!
