Located in the heart of Cabbagetown – Toronto’s Victorian historic district – our 3 bedroom plus den apartment boasts all the amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel, including a fully equipped kitchen, powerful hair dryers in each bedroom, full length mirrors, high speed Wi-Fi, television, fireplace and the privacy our location affords - while being smack dab in the middle of all that Toronto has to offer tourists and business travellers. The Taylor House (a nod to the original owner John Taylor, circa 1873) comes fully furnished with comfortable beds (2 doubles, 2 single -day bed with single trundle underneath; 1 double futon in the den). There are luxury bed linens and towels, a modern kitchen with gas range, dishwasher and microwave and one and a half baths and laundry facilities. If you enjoy health drinks/smoothies there is even a drink mixer.
There is a sunny private deck suitable for al fresco dining. There is a table, chairs, umbrella and outdoor lanterns. The unit is the perfect size for a romantic weekend away for two, three colleagues in town on business or large enough to accommodate a family or group of friends - up to 8.
If you feel like staying in, you can enjoy a glass of wine in front of the beautiful fireplace that is original to the house, read a book, listen to music, enjoy a game of cards or one of the board games you will find in the entertainment cabinet in the den.
When you are ready to venture out, Taylor House is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from Yonge/Dundas Square (The Eaton’s Centre) and many of Toronto’s main attractions – including the Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, Hockey Hall of Fame, Art Gallery of Ontario as well as close to hospitals, theatres, universities and the financial district. There is also a streetcar a short walk away that will take you to the Yonge Subway or east to the Danforth shopping area and the Bloor Subway line. If you like to cycle there is a Toronto BikeShare just outside the front gates of the property.

Details: The unit has a large living room with an beautiful original gas fireplace (see pictures). The living room overlooks the beautiful front garden with bubbling fountain. High speed WiFi and cable TV. There is an antique drop leaf dining table that seats six comfortably and a kitchen table which seats four.
For families we have a Pack-N-Play and highchair available upon request. This is a second floor unit and there is a secure baby gate at the top of the stairs.
There is a single trundle bed under the daybed in bedroom #3.
If you need to work there are desks in the living room and den and of the three bedrooms. There is a printer available if you need one.
There are a variety of games, cards, books, magazines, music and activities available in the entertainment unit in the Den.
The unit has a separate furnace and you can control the temperature. There are ceiling fans in most rooms and air conditioning for the warmer weather.
This is the perfect spot for both business and leisure travellers. Our goal is to ensure you have an awesome stay!

The unit is self-contained and all 1500 sq. feet are available for use. There are two steps to the front door and then a staircase to the second floor. The unit is on two levels. There is a secure child gate at the top of the stairs for families with young children. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to the staircase.
One set of keys is provided plus a lock box with entry keys to the house and unit. If you require another set just let us know.
Parking, suitable for a small to medium car or SUV is at the back of the house and a key is provided to the gates so you can go in and out easily. It is not suitable for trucks or large vans due to size.
When arriving please park in front and unload your luggage. We will then show you to the enclosed parking and provide a tour of the unit.

My husband and I live on the main unit of the house and are available for questions or assistance at any time. Simply text me ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) or knock on the door. There are lots of take-away menus and recommendations for local places to eat and visit in the House Guide in the living room.
Parking is provided for one small/medium car or SUV. This is a very secure property with high fences and gates. You will be parking behind the gates. A key will be provided so you can come and go. If you need parking for a second car we will provide you with the URL for Toronto Temporary Parking Permits.
A complimentary breakfast is self-serve with a variety of options provided: Eggs, Cereal (4-5 different types), Bagels, Oats, Cream of Wheat, Pancakes, Bread for Toast | Coffee, Tea, Juice.
You have a private deck with access off the den and 2nd bedroom. During warm weather it is the ideal place for morning coffee or a romantic candlelight meal.
The unit has it's own furnace and you can control the heat. It has has ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living areas as well as air conditioning.
There are cards, games, books, DVD's and CD's available in the unit for your enjoyment.
Guests must remove their shoes when in the apartment.
