Our place is close to the Kennecott Mill site, the largest copper mill in North America, and downtown McCarthy. You’ll love our technology free accommodations with beautiful wilderness surroundings and peaceful settings while listening to the relaxing sounds of the clear, natural water creek. This place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and groups.
The gazebo is a small outdoor communal cooking area. Only feet away, you can watch and listen to the soothing sounds of the water flowing from the 2 small creeks merging.
It has been my great fortune to have been born and lived my life in Alaska. Growing up on a hunting guide lodge, with as many as 50 horses on the White River, was my childhood dream come true.
Real life experiences: guiding, bicycling, triathlons, technical search and rescue work, technical climbing, glacier travel, mountain climbing, teaching in remote villages around Alaska, construction worker and world traveler have led me back home, for the past 20 years, to the Wrangell Mountains and McCarthy. It is a blessing to have this amazing homestead home surrounded by the magnificent Wrangell Mountains.
