Tara offers a spacious apartment on the second floor of an older house. The place is comfortable for two people. A second, single bed, is available, though it is in the same room as the washer and dryer. We did appreciate being able to do our laundry. There were, however, two setbacks that hindered our enjoyment. First, the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud, and it was impossible to sleep with it on. Without the ability to open the window, we were stuck for fresh air, which we needed because there is a cat in the house. Though it may not go upstairs in the apartment, it was evident there was a cat from the moment you walked in the front entrance way. There isn't a door separating the stairs going up to the apartment and this front room, and there are carpets throughout the rental space. We were able to salvage the stay with some allergy medication, but we felt it immensely, and were incredibly uncomfortable. If AirBNB doesn't have a policy about disclosing pets in houses, it should. Someone with a severe allergy probably shouldn't stay here without knowing there's a pet on the premises.
