Welcome! This heritage restoration has been my project for the last 10 years. My place is in the middle of Vancouver's cultural heart, Commercial Drive. It is less than a block to the many restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs: including Santa Barbara Market, Strange Fellows Brewing Company, Storm Crow Tavern, Turks Coffee Exchange, The Charlatan. While Commercial Drive is a bustling neighbourhood, I'm on a quiet tree lined side street.
Your personal space is the master bedroom. It has been largely renovated and a master bathroom has been added. It has a king size bed.. There is a stone tiled shower and a clawfoot tub with views of the tops of the north shore mountains (and the peaks of neighbours houses so you might want to dim the lights). The bathroom also has heated floors and a Japanese style heated bidet toilet seat.

You are also welcome to use any common areas of the house. Its a 3 bedroom home and I use the other spare bedroom as an office or for friends and family when they visit. There is also an additional bathroom on this upper floor. On the main floor there is a living room, bathroom, dining room, galley kitchen with small sitting area and an adjoining patio. There is an espresso machine for you to use for coffee or to make hot water for tea.

I'm a friendly guy and love to be an ambassador for this city. If you have any questions about how to get around or need suggestions on things to see or places to eat I would be more than happy to help! If you are here for Pride, the East Side Pride parade and the Dyke March both take place and have their stationary events a few blocks away.
While the master suite and kitchen, and most of the main floor have been renovated, some areas of the house reflect some interesting aspects of the 1970's. Thanks for helping me to bring things back to something more in harmony with its original 1912 glory!
- Smoking is totally fine on the back deck or front porch. Help yourself to coffee and tea anytime of the day and feel free to use the plates cutlery glasses etc.
Hiya, I'm Chad! Love travel, contemporary art, trying new and creative cuisine and drinks. I work, and am interested in ICT4D ... that's code for how technology is used to support social and economic development. In my spare time I can be found possibly running around the seawall, gardening or renovating an old heritage home in Vancouver's bohemian/Italian/lesbian neighbourhood - Commercial Drive.
