Your cabin has an ensuite, coffee & tea facilities & a desk. You are welcome to use the full kitchen in the Lodge (next door). We are close to walks, the great outdoors, sea & fishing. We're situated just out of Thames on the way to the famous 'Pinnacles' walk. Our full camp site has many facilities including a swimming hole, archery, kayaks, playgrounds & more which you are welcome to explore if we do NOT have a camp group on site
The Lighthouse cabin is situated on the Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camping grounds. It is a cute wee self-contained cabin, quite new and very private. You have your own bathroom facilities as well as a desk/table with coffee & tea making facilities and supplies. There is also your own small private deck to sit on and enjoy the view. There is a full kitchen (with all equipment, crockery and utensils you may require) for your use in the Lodge (next door), other guests may be sharing this with you. Please note that our WiFi is not great - we are working on trying to get this upgraded. There is no TV available on site.
Accès des voyageurs
You have access to a full kitchen in the Lodge. When there are no other campers on site at our main camping facility you will be able to use the confidence course, Burma trail, the swimming hole in the river, trampoline, playground and our playing fields. With permission and supervision when appropriate there will also be access to table tennis, archery, rifle shooting, kayaks, jigger carts, BMX bikes and the water slide. Some of these activities will incur a small charge to cover usage and maintenance costs.

Uncle Colin will be your host - he enjoys having a chat with our guests and will help you when required. David and Sue run a camp, so may well be busy cooking and looking after large groups of campers, but we will be on site, around and about most of the time and you are welcome to spend time with us if we are available and if you so desire.
If you would like to have a reduced accommodation cost, there is always work to be done around the camp if you would like to assist with manual jobs such as gardening etc.
You are welcome to use the full kitchen in the Lodge. This has an oven and all the necessary cooking tools and equipment. There is also a dining room and lounge in the Lodge which you may use. Please be aware that this is a shared/communal area for our guests. The WiFi is best in the Lodge, but not so good in the cabin. There is no TV service, but there is a TV Screen/Monitor in the Lodge and a DVD player which you are welcome to use.
There is a no alcohol policy in the camping grounds
We have a porta-cot available if required

We are a friendly and welcoming couple who would love to share our beautiful location with you. We love to go fishing, go to movies, have family and friends around and we love entertaining.
We love hosting guests and did so in Tauranga for about 11 months prior to moving to Thames in July 2016. We have been hosting here in Thames since then and are loving it!
We both have children, but none living at home with us. Our baby is a beautiful cat called Rocket - he is very friendly and loves a cuddle.
Our life's motto is to treat others as you would like to be treated!
