Kuhn Vladimir Kha,
We were disappointed that your stay at Baan Saowanee and Samui Island did not meet your expectations. In the event that you return to Samui, we would be pleased if you choose to stay with us again. As such, please consider the following adaptations to improve your impression of Baan Saowanee and Samui Island.
Please be appreciative of your Airbnb host’s effort to provide assistance. We want all our guests to have a wonderful experience and hence we are very willing to do extra things, free of charge, to make your holiday more enjoyable. Perhaps, Kuhn Vladimir, you might have included mention of the following in your review:
* 30% discount on the rental fee because you were a single guest renting the entire villa. You are welcome.
* On arrival, taking you on a tour of the Maenam Beach area, pointing out the location of banks, markets, restaurants, beach access points and more. You are welcome.
*Driving you to a reputable motorbike shop where we arranged a 25% discount on your rental. Also, at the end of your trip, when you returned the bike, we picked you up at the shop and drove you back to your villa. You are welcome.
A second suggestion to enhance a future Baan Saowanee stay relates to communication. Almost all of your complaints could have easily been addressed, in a very short time, simply by phoning or messaging and allowing us to assist. Kuhn Vladimir, we did speak with you personally and messaged you as well, to verify that all was well. We sincerely thought that you were a guest who wanted privacy, which we respected, and trusted that you were relaxing, totally enjoying the villa and Samui Island. Kuhn Vladimir Kha, it is not ‘fair game’ to purvey passive silence, and then write a slamming review.
*Need extra blankets/Easy; just ask.
*No Russian TV channels/Actually, one of your bedrooms had a satellite feed including some Russian channels. All you had to do was ask.
*Raining and hungry, no food in the villa/Guest umbrellas are provided and the walk to a choice of three restaurants is only 150 meters away. Delivery is also convenient; delivery menus for Thai/European restaurants are located in a desk drawer in the foyer. Just ask.
*Air con issues/All units are newish, clean and well maintained. Need assistance with the remote control settings. Just ask.
*A ubiquitous gardener upsetting your privacy/Actually your review grossly exaggerates the time he spends at the pool villa. He has work to do at other locations, so we schedule 30 minutes at the pool villa, early morning before guests arise, to sweep the pool deck and remove leaves from the pool. He returns late afternoon, for an hour, to rake, water and remove trash. Not a convenient schedule for guests? Just ask and we can rearrange a more convenient time.
*Noise from birds, lizards, insects, frogs/ Guests generally appreciate nature’s song as it promotes a sense of calm and tranquility. Ear plugs?
Finally, Kuhn Vladimir, we should address our only complaint regarding your stay at Baan Saowanee. When you checked out you refused to pay your electricity bill, totalling $ 86 US for your 12 night stay. You argued that we were incorrectly reading OUR government meter and the amount owed was $ 8.60 US. Nonsense! Please donate the unpaid balance to your favourite Russian charity.
