Joseph and Mushhoor's apartment is located in an amazing location, on a quiet, tree lined street in Brookline, but a block from a myriad of restaurants, stores, and public transportation. Very easy to get into Boston from the Coolidge Corner T stop just 5 minutes away, and 5+ minute walk to a Trader Joe's. The availability of parking is a definite must for this area, as most of Brookline is either resident only or 2 hour parking.
I did not meet either Joseph or Mushhoor at my arrival, but they communicated with me extensively both before and during my stay. Accessing the apartment was easy, with clear instructions. The apartment is in a house at the end of a driveway, with parking along the side fence. If you have a large vehicle be forewarned: if other cars are in their spots, it can be difficult to parallel park along the fence; my rental minivan actually was slightly longer than the spots. The house seems to have a variety of people living there; the ones that I met were very nice and welcoming, and aware that I was staying in an Airbnb. The apartment was pretty quiet.
The pictures accurately reflect the apartment, although perhaps the bathroom seemed slightly smaller than I had recalled. The sink is TINY- the hand soap is actually on top of the toilet! I could only fit a toothbrush and toothpaste on the sink. There is a medicine cabinet, which could be used if you remove the hairdryer that is supplied there. There is no caddy in the shower, as is pictured, so all of your shower toiletries need to stay outside the shower on the ledge.
the bed is large (King?), with a pillow top mattress which is very firm. There is an available air conditioner which does a good job of cooling the entire room. There is also a light/fan that turns both on with a switch, but it's too high to control just one or the other. The room does get a significant amount of morning light. The kitchen is stocked with a variety of food items (which I wasn't sure if they were all available for guest use?), and the refrigerator was empty, with ice waiting in the freezer. There's also a microwave,
There is a TV with streaming Roku and signed into a host's Netflix account for your use; I did not try it, but it's a nice touch. WiFi was very fast.
I gave 4 stars because I felt that the furniture and rugs were a bit dirty. I realize that they are not new pieces, but they look almost dusty. That said, I would stay here again.
