The Citrus House is named for its many fragrant citrus trees, whose blossoms flood the grounds with their sweet scents during the spectacular spring months, and has recently been restored to its original glory. There is a magical wonder about the house that one has to simply bask in to believe. A peaceful and extremely comfortable oasis just steps from the wonderful downtown shopping and restaurants, the Citrus House loves everyone who comes to visit. Come, relax, and enjoy!
The meticulously maintained Movie Colony Estate is the perfect location for your next executive retreat, group function, golf outing or family reunion. The comfortably charming main house features two brand new, large master bedroom suites. Through a short hallway off the beautifully appointed kitchen, the cozy bunk room (sleeps 4 adults) includes a full bathroom, as well as it's own HD television. The Citrus House Retreat also offers 3 guest casitas, each with their own entrance - and each with a full bathroom, HD television, and tastefully designed furnishings. Separate from the main house, the casitas also feature a beautiful view deck, where one can take in the majestic beauty of the Mt. San Jacinto and the surrounding mountains.
Each Bedroom has its own full Bathroom. Plus the home has an additional full bathroom off of the living room. 7 Full Bathrooms. 3 of the bathrooms include bathtubs.

The Citrus House includes a gourmet, state-of-the-art kitchen, ideal for entertaining and perfect for large gatherings. The large swimming pool and private jacuzzi are surrounded by comfortable designer outdoor furnishings. A large, covered, custom built wooden dining table provides an ideal setting for outdoor meals.
Additional amenities include the brand new traditional Bocci Ball court, with nighttime lighting, a beautiful outdoor fire pit circled by comfortable padded seating, a separate outdoor fireplace, BBQ grill, 4 beach cruiser bikes, and 1 tandem bike.

Check-in time is strictly at 4pm.
The fire pit is a gas fire pit which you can light by turning the gas on at the base and tossing in a match or by using a big BBQ lighter.
The key for the bikes will be on the key set given to you. Please keep them locked up at night.
Most of the TV's (the VIZIO brand) in the bedrooms are Netflix ready for our guests with a Netflix account.
There are outdoor propane heaters behind the Casitas for those chilly winter nights.
First aid kit is located under the sink in the kitchen.
Reservation Requirements: A $2,000 refundable security deposit is required to reserve the dates requested. Deposit is due in full at time of reservation, and full payment is required at least 30 days prior to check-in. If first payment is not received within 30 days, reservation may be subject to cancellation and refundable deposit will be returned.
Balance is due in full 30 days prior to check-in.
Canceling Your Reservation: You may cancel your reservation or reschedule with no charge up to 30 days prior to your first day of arrival. Please note that we will charge a standard nightly rate fee of (1) one night if you cancel after this date.
Check-In/Check-Out Time: Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM – NO EXCEPTIONS! The Guest that does not vacate the rental property by 11AM without consent or prior arrangement are subject to a fee equal to one (1) rental day. We must adhere to this schedule to give our cleaning team adequate time for the next guest!
Refund Policy: The Citrus House cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating and air conditioning, TVs, DVDs or other appliances. Please report any inoperative equipment to us immediately. The Citrus House will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. There will be no refunds for delayed arrivals, early departures (less days than reserved), or reducing the number of nights reserved.
Security Deposit: Your security deposit will be returned within 7-14 business days of the departure date, provided proper check-out procedures are followed, and there is no breakage or damage to the premises.
Maximum Occupancy: 13 Guests. At all times, the maximum occupancy is the number the home sleeps, including infants. Additional guests will incur an additional charge of $25.00 per night per guest.
Key Charge: A $50.00 fee will be charged for failure to return any and all Rental Property related keys, access cards/fob, etc. These charges shall be deducted from the security deposit.
Non-Smoking: This is a non-smoking home and smoking is NOT permitted inside the home and all casitas at all times.
Pets: Pets are NOT allowed on the premises.
Repairs: The Owner/Agent must be notified immediately if you discover any item that needs attention.
Garbage and Waste: Guest(s) shall deposit all garbage and waste in a clean and sanitary manner into the proper receptacles and shall cooperate in keeping the garbage area neat and clean. Guest(s) shall be responsible for disposing of items of such size and nature as are not normally acceptable by the garbage hauler. Guest(s) shall be responsible for keeping the kitchen and bathroom drains free of things that may tend to cause clogging of the drains. Guest(s) shall pay for the cleaning out of any plumbing fixture that may need to be cleared of stoppage and for the expense or damage caused by stopping of waste pipes or overflow from bathtubs, wash basins, or sinks.
Access: Guest(s) agrees to allow access to the unit to Owner/Agent and maintenance (plumbers, electricians, pest inspection, housekeeping, etc.) upon 24 hours’ notice to Guest(s) for repair and inspection purpose.
Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels and other amenities are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate.
Furnishings: Furnishings are subject to change without notice. Furniture, bedding, mattress pads, utensils or any other property supplied with the rental property must not be removed.
Locked Closets and/or Cabinets: This unit has an owner’s locked closet or storage room for personal items. Tampering with locked closets will result in a charge to guest’s security deposit. Please respect these areas as they are not intended for use.
Subletting/Assigning/Occupancy: There shall be no subletting of the premises. The Guest(s) shall occupy and use the premises as a vacation rental only and not use the premises for any business, professional, unlawful or hazardous purpose.
Acts of God, Hurricane and Storms Policy: The Citrus House shall not be liable for events beyond their control which may interfere with Guest’s occupancy, including but not limited to: Acts of God, fire, strikes, or inclement weather. NO REBATE OR REFUND will be offered in these circumstances.
Damage or Loss During Stay: Guest(s) agrees that The Citrus House is NOT responsible for any guest(s) loss or damage during stay.
Indemnification and Hold Harmless: Guest(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner/Agent for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense whatsoever arising from or related to any claim or litigation which may arise out of or in connection with Guest(s) use and occupancy of the rental property including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or theft of property which is made, incurred or sustained by Guest(s).
Violation of Agreement: If Guest(s) violates any of the conditions of this Agreement, The Citrus House may terminate this Agreement and enter premises. Upon notice of termination of this Agreement, Guest(s) shall vacate the premises immediately and forfeit all rents and security deposits.
Hello! We are cousins Shane & Malia and we'd like to welcome you to our vacation rental - The Citrus House.
Some fun history: Our grandparents Lavelle and Melba both worked in early Hollywood as set designers, special effects artists, and decorators working for such luminaries as Walt Disney, stars like Jerry Lewis and Cary Grant, to name a few. They've worked on blockbusters such as; Planet of the Apes, Hello Dolly, and Tora Tora Tora. Those three films. as well as others that Lavelle designed sets for, were distributed by 20th Century Fox, which was founded by Darryl Zanuck - who happens to be the original owner of The Citrus House. The home was later purchased by the Melvin Belli family, a prominent American Attorney, and we purchased the home from his family.
