Mackenzie is a wonderful host and went out of her way to make my visit enjoyable. Whatever your reason for visiting Joseph Oregon, you will find rest for your body and soul in the house, out on the decks and patios and around the property. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was large and invitingly decorated. The private entrance to my room made it easy to come and go. I also appreciated the wonderful breakfast. I highly recommend a stay at Mackenzie's place.

Mackenzie is a gracious and wonderful host who wished to make our stay a pleasant one. In the mornings at our requested time she served us a coffee or tea and a lovely home made complimentry breakfast. Her home is set in the beautiful local pine trees just 3 miles outside of Joseph, an easy drive from the town. Anyone will enjoy staying in Mackenzie's comfortable home!

We had a blast in Joseph this week! We attended a friends wedding and were happy to find the house so conveniently located near so many of the pre-wedding activities. The setting is beautiful and we felt so welcomed by Mackenzie and Petit Sirah! We really appreciated her flexibility with our ever changing schedule and LOVED the coffee and little goodies in the morning delivered right on the patio outside our room! I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are trying to get some quiet relaxing nature time in. Thanks again, Mackenzie!! Hope to visit again!

This was one of the best Airbnb stays we ever had. Mackenzie/PS were so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in and made every extra effort to make our stay memorable. I especially appreciated the morning coffee service, beautiful breakfasts, and time spent hanging out in her loft and outdoor spaces. Would love to stay here again.

We had a very warm welcome at her place and felt very comfortable during the whole stay. We really had a great time at her lovely house, which has so many wonderful details. The breakfast in the garden was awesome. She helped us a lot when we had some questions and even booked us some tickets on the phone for the following day. Thank you so much for this great experience.

Petite Sirah and I hope Jeri received his socks in Toronto and we look forward to your return to our part of the world in the not too distant future. Safe travels back to Austria and have a most wonderful teaching year in the fall. Delighted our paths crossed, Mackenzie and Petite Sirah.

After leaving Mackenzie's place in the morning, we headed to the Mt. Howard tram, and we saw how busy and hectic that area of the park is. (But what a ride! And what a hike!) We felt sooo grateful to have the peaceful and splendid beauty of Mackenzie and Petite Sara's place. We were looking for a destination place, where we could stay and also relax and walk and soak in the stars, the quiet and the deliciousness of the Wallowas. What a joy this host is, how special she treated my sister and I....how nurturing, knowedgeable, friendly and kind. We were soooo comfortable in the different patios and under the trees. Thank you so much for helping us get away....and for meeting you along our journey.

Mackenzie was great! My friend and I had an amazing time staying with her and her lovely little dog. She was very knowledgable of the area and pointed out great sites to see and hikes to climb. Her house was clean, cozy, and wonderfully calming. She really went above and beyond and even made breakfast for us every morning! Mackenzie was great for some lovey company and chit chat at night, but also totally open to letting us do our own thing. Would definitely recommend her place to anyone who wants a great stay in the Wallowas!

Ever wanted to blaze new trails and create a new chapter in your life history?

That's precisely what the Pups and I did in the summer of 2006 when we took a road trip from Napa Valley, CA to rural Easter Oregon, and literally hitched our wagon to a star-a town called Joseph surrounded by the Wallowa Mountains.

In that very same summer while hiking in the mountains, I first saw the future home and 5 acres we were going to buy and share with others.

That first dream came true when we became the owners in 2010 and permanent residents in 2012.

Now we are offering you to join us at the R & R Rancho to Share the Sacred Ground and take with you its serene reconnection to the land's energy and adventure.
