My place is a residential area near to Fettes College and about 10 minutes walk from trendy Stockbridge. There are excellent transport links and buses will get you to the City Centre in around 20 minutes. Your room will be on the ground floor of my modern town house. It has its own garden access and exclusive use of a small shower room. There is free parking in the development. You are welcome to use the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The room is simply furnished but cozy and comfortable with good storage. It has direct access to the garden and its own small, recently renovated shower room. (This is not en-suite but is directly across corridor from the room.) The guest room is the only room on the ground floor so has a good degree of privacy. The room has a tv with Freeview.
Accès des voyageurs
As well as the garden room and shower room, you will be able to use my kitchen and dining room.

I do work full-time but I will do my best to be here to welcome you and do whatever I can to help you feel at home and to make the most of what the city has to offer. I will provide a continental style breakfast but you may have to help yourself if I am not around because of work.
Arriving by car
My house is in the north of Edinburgh and your phone or sat nav should be able to get you here if you put the postcode in (EH4 2GL). The property development is off Crewe Road South. As you turn into the development, take first left, and then first left again. I am the fourth house in the short street. There should be plenty of parking at the end of the street where there is a parking area.
Arriving by train or intercity bus
Walk to Princes Street and get one of the following buses from the bus stop beside the Waverley Mall just above the station on the Castle side of the street. From this stop you can get any of the following buses: No.29, No.37, No.37X, No.19. A single journey costs £1.60 and a day ticket which gives you unlimited bus travel costs £4.00. The buses do not give change so you must have the exact money.
The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. You should get off at Grigor Avenue, the stop before Crewe Toll. The driver will let you know when you have reached the stop if you ask him or her. Look out for the Western General Hospital on the left hand side and it is two stops after it. The development where I live is just across the road. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and go through the pedestrian entrance and I am the fourth house along.
Arriving by plane
Taxi: The journey from the airport will take about 30 minutes and cost approximately £15-20.
Tram: This costs £5.50 (single) or £8 (return) to the City Centre. You should get off in Princes Street and get one of the buses from there to my house.
