I am just getting started on Air B&B and can't wait for guests to enjoy our upstairs apartment! The Blackstone District (5-min walk), MidTown Crossing and Aksarben Village (a few minutes drive); LaCasa Pizzaria & Barrett's Barleycorn Grill & Pub (steps from the apartment); and Downtown Omaha/The Old Market/ TD Ameritrade (5 minutes). Guests should be aware that only street parking is available and it is around the corner & up 1-2 blocks. Also, 10 stairs from sidewalk to home & 12 up to apt.
A private apartment in the center of Omaha's up and coming entertainment districts! The pillow-top queen-size bed provides guests with a restful night sleep after an active day on the town. In the heart of Midtown, guests may easily access UNMC, Nebraska Medical Center, UNO, The Blackstone District, Midtown Crossing, Aksarben Village, Downtown/Old Market, Century Link, Baxter Arena and all the highlights of Omaha. Public transportation is steps away, the bike lane to downtown runs right in front of the house, and if guests don't want to venture far for food and entertainment, they have options within a 2-minute walk from the home. A washer and dryer are available for guests to use in the basement of the home; this is also a good place for guests to store a bike or other larger items needing a secure, safe place.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to the apartment on the 2nd floor of the home and the basement which houses the washer and dryer. Both areas have private and secure access apart from the main level of the home.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
This was my first home and is now a rental on the main level. After years of renting out the upper level apartment, and now renovating it, my husband and I would like to see it remain clean and well-kept which is why we're choosing to go the AirBnB route. That said, we do not live in the home, but we are 10 minutes away if guests have an emergency. Otherwise we may be called for any helpful advice or requests.
When guests arrive they will access the key from a lockbox, to make arrival time convenient.
Welcome to our AirBnB home. We are so glad you chose to stay with us and hope we’ve provided the accommodations that will make your stay here comfortable. Please help yourself to the refreshments in the fridge and the snacks provided on the counter. Below are a few helpful notes and how you may contact us if there is a concern.

No smoking or pets should take place in the apartment.
Our main floor is rented by respectful, professional tenants. Please be courteous of them.
Shoes may be left on as long as there is no soil or snow on them. But we wouldn’t mind if you left them at the entry in order to help keep the new carpet fresh.
Heat and AC are vented from the main home. In addition, we’ve installed mini-splits so that guests may adjust the heat and AC to their liking. Please use the remote provided in the basket near the stove.
Additional pillows and blankets are stored in the closet. If you use additional blankets or bedding, please leave it out on the bed after your stay so that we know to wash them before the next guest arrives.
Additional towels may also be found in the closet. Please, place any used towels in the hamper so that we get them cleaned for the next guest.
If you’d like to do laundry, a key is located by the table at the top of the stairs. This key is for the basement door, just next to the entry to this apartment. There is a new washer and dryer downstairs. A basket with laundry detergent and fabric softner sheets may be found in the closet. (The detergent is either Tide of Gain.)
If you use any dishes, please wash them up and place back in the cubboards.
When your stay is over, please leave your key at the entry table (by the key décor). As you leave, please lock the door from the inside and be sure that you’ve shut the door securely. If you could also text me that you are on your way to your next venture (or heading home) I would appreciate the kind heads-up.
Close dining areas (within walking distance):
LaCasa is directly across the street. It has been around forever, the lit up sign is noted as an Omaha icon. LaCasa has appeared on Food Network and is known for their unique pizzas and delicious food. A full-service bar with charming staff are also at LaCasa.
Barrett’s Barleycorn is just a block east of the house. They have great beers on tap, fabulous bar food (I recommend the One-Eyed Mick sandwich) and great staff.
If you’d like to venture to the Blackstone District, it’s about a ten-minute walk. Head east on Leavenworth to 42nd street. Then north four blocks to Farnam, and east two blocks to 40th. Here you will find a number of bars and restaurants, each with a unique flavor. None of these are chain restaurants, each is authentic with i’s own fun quicks. If you are a Yogi, there is a community yoga studio and you may drop in for a low fee and enjoy excellent (sometimes challenging) yoga classes.
Thank you for being our guest
