Autres points à prendre en note
LA MILOU

La Milou was a ruin, previously owned and loved by Monsieur and Madame Moreau for years, suddenly and sadly left empty for over eighty , having never, ever had water or electricity, I bought it in 2013 and started to bring her back to life using as many reclaimed materials as we could find in and around the house and garden.
Situated in the Dronne Valley with the truely wonderful River Dronne just 3km away, a great river beach, beach bar, canoeing, tennis courts, big picnic area. Up the hill is Aubeterre which has been called one of the prettiest villages in France and rightly so. There is the best butcher ever, great Sunday market, happy hour from 7 to 8 at the Hotel de France on a friday often with live music.
Tiny St Antoine Cumond does have a baker which doubles as the Tabac. The Relais 24 is a great little bar/ restaurant run by Lolo and Veronique, sunday lunches are long and delicious, but Thursday night is moules night best to book as it has become a favourite spot.
Riberac is only 15km away, honestly has the best food market on a friday, cafe Colonne is the place to sit and be seen, every Tuesday night throughout the summer they close the road for live music, hundreds arrive to have supper outside and dance the night away.
Chalais is a ten minute drive north, a monday market, a train station. You could be in Bordeaux in under an hour for less than 15 euros.
The Chateau Mareuil is owned by the Duke and Duchess Montabello, some of the chateau is in ruins however what remains is lived in and the very delightful owners a truely wonderful couple do the guided tours which as you can imagine is magical, someting that will stay with you forever.
Lac La Jamaye is twenty minutes drive away, great for swimming, picnics, safe beach, pedalos and plenty of shade under the pine trees with an easy hour long walk all the way around.
Finally the sunrises and sunsets in this area are breath taking so dust off the camera.

Saint-Antoine-Cumond, Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes, France

Situated in the heart of rural South West France you'll find classic French villages, gorgeous walks, cycling, canoeing and horse riding on unmade up roads with only the odd tractor trundling by.

Aubeterre Sur Dronne is wonderful, with its Monolithic church it is on the Camino de Santiago de Compastello, it has a typically busy pretty square with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
